It is very important to me that my shoes are good, to keep me in a happy mood and ...
I have trouble finding shoes that fit, I usually get blisters on the tops of my hammer toes and on my pinky toe from wide feet. I am 6'3" 240 pounds, have hammer toes, high arches, wide feet (so I ordered size 12EEE). I just started a new job as a Waiter/Server at a new restaurant and Manager, so I put a lot of miles on my shoes, on wet greasy floors, and if my feet hurt, I get grumpy, which means I lose tips or don't want to work as much or as hard. It is very important to me that my shoes are good, to keep me in a happy mood and make me want to work more hours. And I have owned some very expensive shoes from handmade Danner boots, Cole Haan, Rockport, Salomon and Dansko to name a few, so I have no problem buying very expensive shoes. These Skechers Cottonwood Elks are very comfortable right out of the box! They are very roomy all over and have a large toe-box for my hammer toes. I got no blisters even on day one. (I did try a trick I learned from hiking: I wore thin nylon socks against my skin,or women's' nylons can work, and a thick sock outside.....this prevent blisters even in new shoes or long hikes). I like how stable these shoes are and how well they grip! They are very comfortable but also give me confidence with the large sole and good slip-resistant tread. I was extremely impressed with these shoes on day one. I also bought some Dansko Walkers which cost $140, and there is no doubt the Dansko are a more quality shoe and worth the money (more stable, form-fitted, less squishy and appear they will last much longer), these Skecher Cottonwood Elks are an extremely good shoe and I would highly recommend them!!!

Decent Garage Oxford
Been looking for work shoes that are made from real leather, that have good insides and souls, that will stand up to me standing up and walking my average 5 to 7 miles a day, all on concrete. Tried all the sneaker types, supposedly leather shoes and have had them all fail due to very thin leather if it was leather, and disbond at the souls or insides tear up at the heal. So far, these are holding up well, with no signs of problems with the leather or insides. The upper seems to be thick enough leather to not split, but also is flexing well with my stride. They seem to be well put together so far. The padded foot bed is comfortable so far. The slip resistant souls are good, but do collect small rocks. Comfort is good, with little break in time, about a day, and my feet were used to them. I can't speak to longevity yet as I've only worn them a few weeks, but so far so good. I'll update if these fail, or are lasting and wearing well. I have been going through shoes about a pair every 8 months to a year, with my last three sneaker types not lasting that long, so I really hope these last better.

Comfortable shoe for 50$, memory foam cushion is useless, and your feet may be cold.
I work as a school custodian, and also clean water plants, offices, and much more. I'm on my feet a lot and and moving a lot. I'm a 290lb, size 12 foot, with flat feet, and find these shoes fairly comfortable, even though they lack much cushion. Overall, they're not too bad, but when winter began here in Michigan, I noticed my feet were absolutely freezing if I kept the shoes in my garage, and walking through snow all of the cold transfers straight to my feet. I think if they were rubber sole instead of synthetic this may solve that issue. I'm giving it a 4/5 stars despite my cold feet and lack of cushion, because I do find these comfortable, especially for 50$, you're not getting an amazing shoe. You are getting what you paid for with these, and if it's for light work, they'll do just fine. I don't think I will buy these again however with all of my custodial work, as they do seem to be wearing down steadily. As long as you're gentle with your shoes you will get a lot of time out of them!

Nice and comfy, works great as business casual shoes
After the "breaking in" period, the shoes works as expected. These were probably overkill for me in that I have a desk job in a professional environment. Still, I needed shoes that weren't too fancy but was budget friendly and would look good in an office setting, yet also be practical. The practical part, the slip-resistant design, works wonderfully as the lobby of my building, as well as the area I work on has tile floors that can get quite slippery when wet, particularly when people are trotting in from the rain. I haven't had any issue with skidding or sliding with these shoes at my office building compared to other shoes I've worn. Also, as pointed out, you may want to consider getting a half-size or one size up from what you normally wear. The shoes do have that extra tightness of boots and dress shoes. I did that; I usually wear size 10.5, but went for a 11, and it turned out great. Nice and snug, not too tight or loose.

Super value for the comfort and appearance.
Comfortable work shoe. Great for this transit operator and nice looking leather uppers. I added sole cushions to make them extra comfy and they wear quite well. Though oil resistant soles tend to wear quickly due to their soft nature I've milked a couple of years out of mine. The soles are thinning, but with an occasional polishing they look sharp and professional, and repel water still.

100% Comfort
I needed a pair of black shoes that would match the comfort of my "go-to" brand that do not come in black. I know the name Skechers from a pair of work boots that I once owned, so I thought I would try them for dress shoes. The fit was exactly what I am used to ordering. I laced them up in the morning, and spent the better part of a day wearing them under a variety of circumstances. These never felt like they were brand new; requiring a "break-in" period before they became comfortable. Fantastic grip, and not too aggressive a sole grip pattern. I am in clothing sales, so I like to dress business casual. These shoes look good at the end of a nice pair of dress pants. I received several compliments on how nice they looked. I highly recommend these to anyone who is on their fee for hours at a time. The wear-test will be conducted over the next year. I am expecting them to hold up well.

Durable and good slip resistance. Comfort however...
I'm a server at a country club, where I'm constantly moving around and moving furniture. These shoes are really good, the slip resistance is actually decent. I've worn many "slip resistant" shoes that feel like that they aren't really, but these are. However the reason I'm giving it three stars is comfort. The insoles are plain and simple garbage. Memory foam insoles sound nice but in reality do nothing for you if you're on your feet for hours. When I first got these shoes my feet would just start hurting after being on my feet for an hour or two. Considering I spend at least 5 hours on my feet that doesn't fly with me. I just put some Dr Scholes work gel insoles in mine and now they're great, but it would've been nice to buy some work shoes where I didn't have to buy insoles. Hence why next time I need to buy work shoes, I'll probably buy the Dr Scholls Harrington Work Shoes, I've used those before and they feel so much more comfortable.

Very comfy!
I got a pair of these as a gift from my mother quite a few years back and they're very comfortable and durable. So much so in fact that I went searching on Amazon for a replacement pair when they finally wore out after about 5-6 years. The non-slip soles work great at work, at points where I would definitely fall on my butt if I were wearing regular shoes. The shoe is so comfortable that you can walk around Six Flags all day with no foot pain. Please note, when they are new they are a little tight to the point of being a bit uncomfortable; however, after a week or so, they break in a bit and feel wonderful. Highly recommend!

Very very comfortable
These are very good shoes - instantly comfortable. I've previously bought trainers to accommodate my misshapen feet, and I'm not a big fan of trainers. Not in my 60's. So to put these on and not feel the pinches and rubbing I would normally find with leather shoes is very very good news. I can wear them to walk in, they look presentable enough to wear for smart casual, and they are good enough to work in too. It's always been the case that if I find comfortable shoes, when I go back to replace them the model has changed and I can't get the same thing. So I've bought two pairs of these - you can take that as a recommendation.
