Awesome reel especially for skipping jigs and beginner baitcasters
I wanted to learn to skip on a baitcaster especially with jigs for under docks. They sent me the reel quick and it was in perfect new condition. I spooled it with 50lb maxcuatro hi vis power pro and paired it with a Fitzgerald 6’9” Bryan thrift skipping rod. Learned how to skip after one day of practicing and first trip out skipping under docks caught my first dock skip jig bass. This reel is awesome and I’m a Shimano Metanium, chronarch, Abu Garcia premier and beast user. I’ll be buying another daiwa reel for light baits as I hardly backlash skipping or casting baits with it. Also taught a friend how to baitcast with it and he didn’t backlash or have any overruns first time learning and had been converted from spinning gear. Great beginner reel.
