GU Energy, Liquid Energy, Lemonade - 12 Count

These energy liquid gels have been a total game-changer for my long runs. They’re super easy to carry and digest, giving me a quick boost exactly when I need it without any stomach upset. I love the smooth texture—no weird aftertaste or grit like some gels have. The flavors are tasty enough that I actually look forward to taking them during tough miles. Plus, they absorb fast, so I feel the energy kick in quickly. They give me steady, reliable fuel so I can keep pushing without crashing or feeling sluggish. Whether I’m running 10 miles or hitting marathon training, these gels are always in my pack. If you need a dependable energy boost that works for endurance runs, these gels are definitely worth trying.

Kept me going during my last marathon, easy to drink, pleasant taste and did not cause any GI distress. The packets were also easy to open on the go. Well worth the price.

Typically gels will upset my stomach but these don’t. They go down super easy because they’re very liquid like. Tastes like super strong lemonade. Very effective, didn’t feel fatigued during my marathon and was overall very pleased with these

I think the gels are easier to consume than this liquid just because all of these energy packets taste bad and at least with a gel, there is less to swallow. That said, the lemonade liquid GU is fine. Didn’t bonk during my runs and no stomach cramps from taking this. Those are the two biggest concerns and this product does fine on both fronts. If you have not used the liquids before, be advised that the packet is about twice the size of a gel packet, so if space is an issue while running, these might not fit. Also, in terms of taste, this basically tastes like super concentrated lemon gatorade. About what you would expect.

Delicious and great energy boost. I’ve made a habit of going to CrossFit, putting in my all, doing a little extra strength workout then going straight to run club. It’s almost a 3 hour workout span with no fuel. I am running a marathon so I bought these as fuel. I decided to do a trial run between CrossFit and run club (a short but fast 5k). I am always sluggish and achey after CrossFit but not today! Wow was this little packet a difference maker!! I felt amazing after I took it, during the run and after the run. I even PRed. After CrossFit!!! Usually I can only PR after a rest day. Excited to train with these!! Also the lemonade tasted great!

I was surprised when I opened the box. They are much larger than normal GU energy gels. They take up more space in your cycling jersey pocket and weigh more, which could be annoying if you need to carry 3 or 4 for a long ride. Unlike a regular gel that you can squeeze into your mouth while riding, these are fussy; you need to stop and empty the pack with care if you want to get most of the product out and not make a mess. Taste and function is fine. I’ll use them until there’re gone, not carrying more than one on a ride, but won’t purchase again.

This is the only running gel I've ever used, so I don't have much to compare it to. However, from what I've read, the majority of running gels require you to take them with water and some can be rather gummy, which is exactly why I picked GU's Liquid Energy. The consistency is sort of a combo of Jello and melted lemonade ice pops, so it's very easy to consume. I like the flavor, although it is really quite sweet, but then it sort of has to be. Gave me a nice boost towards the end of my 20-mile training run. Didn't experience any stomach issues.
