So far, so good
I have had these shoes for about 1.5 weeks. I have been out on three to four short runs from one to two miles each. My pattern is to run a personal 5 k once a week and then two to three other short runs of just one mile for warm ups before strength training or HIIT.Prior to the Vapor glove 4, I wore the old version of the New balance Minimus, which had a very thin sole. I must've had it 5 years. The soles and worn through, and parts of the tread were flopping off. I was disappointed that the current Minimus had a thicker sole. I did not realize the minimalist shoe trend had tapered off.I am a 10.5 size in both feet double E. The Vapor glove 4 did fit me like a glove. The sole is thin, and it gives me a good feel of the ground when I run. I love it. I bought a New Balance cross country track shoe because it was the thinnest sole available in the running shoe store, and I was told that was the shoe high schoolers used because it was light. However, I have become too accustomed to minimalist shoes, and I did not like that sensation of so much rubber between my feet and the ground. Those shoes were just way too thick compared to the NB minimus I had previously.I then ordered the Vapor Glove 4, and as soon as I slipped them on it must've been like how Cinderella felt when she tried on the right glass slipper. Lol. I just knew the fit was right. I did order size 11 for my 10.5 sized feet.I'm not an extensive long distance runner, so I cannot speak to how durable these shoes are, but with the limited experience in the last 1.5 weeks I really do love these shoes.I hope this information helps my fellow runners and athletes. Oh, I only rated these 4/5 because I have had these only a couple of weeks. if I am still getting the same comfort and reliability out of these shoes in 6 months, then I'd rate it a 5/5. We shall see.

Didn’t Last a year
Heel was hurting during my hike next day discovered there’s a nice size hole in the bottom. They didn’t even last a full year. I wore them for about six months on and off.Only good for indoor.

Awesome minimalist shoe!
Really love this shoe, originally bought on Amazon but size was a bit big (buy true to size), as this is older version hard to find right size at right price. Ended up getting one size smaller on another site.

Great shoes, light and comfy
I bought a pair of Merril’s years ago. They were awful. Slippery and uncomfortable. These are fantastic although I am not sure how long they will last. The are very grippy and very comfortable. They are as light as air and despite not having any real support, my feet love them and my feet don’t often like shoes. Maybe that is why they are called barefoot. The seem a little large. I normally wear 11 - 11.5 and in these I half size down. I have a pair 10.5 and one size 11. The 10.5 works. The 11 gives my toes a little more room.

Good Looking Shoes that are useless if you do anything but lounge in them
No comment. They are really relaxing shoes and nothing more. Do not run too far in them. Feet!

Heavenly slippers
They get five stars for support and comfort not because the shoe is comfortable and supportive (quite the opposite), but because they showcase the perfect evolution of the human foot. If you're purchasing this product then I don't need to tell you about barefoot running I'm sure, suffice to say that if you subtract all rubber and foam and just keep a thin Vibram skin for a sole, your joints will say thank you. I've been using those so-called "toe shoes" for years and I love those too, but slipping the correct toe into the corresponding enclosure is time consuming and looks funny, whereas these shoes are the same concept without the wiggling toes. Also I can use regular socks with these so that they don't smell as bad. I don't want to attract attention to my toes when I'm running, I just want to run well. "Bare" in mind that these are not made for trail running by any means, these are the road bikes of running, these will take you the distance and fast!

Maybe not for country roads.
I've run in vibram five fingers for 8 years now and thought I'd try these when the cold rainy days of December and January come. I figured they would be warmer and they probably will be. I love the fit and it has a nice wide toe box. What I didn't expect was the softness of the sole material. These would be excellent if you live in the city. I run on country roads and find that every small, sharp rock sitting on top of the asphalt road telegraphs through quite uncomfortably. My 5 fingers sole is much thinner but is make with a harder material (more plastic-like as opposed to the vapor glove which is more rubber-like) and dampens most of the rocks they encounter. Other than that, they fit great. I will find out over they next year how durable they are.

Most barefoot feel of any shoe I have tried
I spend most of my pavement running time without shoes (full barefoot). I was looking for a shoe for trail running and was hesitant to try these. However, after putting them on the first time I am in love. The large toe box allows my feet to fit with rubbing my toes. I have ran about 20km on trails so far (without socks as well) and they seem to have be amazing.

Great shoe for barefoot style running.
I've found these to be a great pair of barefoot style running shoes. Very light, comfortable, plenty of room in the toe box for wide feet. Happy to be washed in the washing machine and unlike 5-finger style shoes..., you just slip them on, tie up the laces and off you go (after a proper warm-up of course...). Grip is fine on pavement and dry trails, which is where i do my running. Wet grass... adequate on the flat but slippy on slopes. Also great shoes for kettlebell training when barefoot is not an option, they provide a super stable platform with plenty of ground feel. Virtually zero cushioning and padding, but that's the idea. As ever, if you are new to barefoot style running then TAKE IT EASY and allow your calves, feet and tendons to adapt so they can deal with the new stresses placed on them, but boy is it worth it in the end. Only gripe with them is the tread seems to be wearing rather quickly, i have a feeling they won't last for ever. Otherwise, super pleased here. Ordered a second pair already...

Most comfortable shoe I've ever owned...but I returned them.
I start a review with 5 stars in mind, presuming I get exactly what I hoped for and knocking a star off for each objective fault I found with the product.Firstly, these shoes feel amazing on my feet! They are almost unbelievably comfortable and I can honestly say that I can't see a way back to wearing 'normal' trainers or shoes. These are my first, high-end barefoot shoes and I the difference is night and day between my 'beginner' shoes--some cheap water shoes I got from Amazon (see my other reviews). My feet are 28 and 28.5 cm long from heel to big toe and I got the UK size 10. They fit perfectly and were so snug and supportive and wrapped around my foot like a snug fajita! The feel was great and I got plenty of feedback from the floor, but stepping on sharp rocks in my front garden didn't hurt, although I could definitely feel they were sharp. So why did I send them back? Above all, the shoe started to fall apart after only four days (see pic). It's a small hole, but you can't see that after four days and not think that that entire toe section is going to rapidly come undone. Just to be clear, I wasn't hiking around in these in those four days: I went to the shops and back a few days and walked around the open space behind my house. I went for all of one, 10-minute jog, so not heavy abuse at all.Second to that, and the reason for the other star getting knocked off is the design. You can't wear these with casual clothes as the design is laughable. It looks like a teenager designed these with the camo uppers. Yes, I was aware of the design when I bought them, but I had heard such good things about the fit and feel, and these were the only barefoot shoes within my price range, I was willing to let the design slide UNTIL I saw that the mono-coloured ones, that you could wear with casual clothes are about £80! They are ostensibly the same shoe, except they don't look ridiculous! Being poor is expensive, as they say, and I can't afford to have one pair of shoes each for sports and casual wear; I expect to be able to more in just one pair of shoes and if you're even just a little bit concerned with having people stare at your feet and wonder if you're about to go scale Ben Nevis, these shoes aren't for you. The grey versions are the most modest type in my size, but they are just too garish. I can't imagine anyone who would buy the vile lime green versions. I ended up returning these and spending £60 on a used pair of VivoBarefoot shoes on eBay. The Vivo's have held up well and look semi-decent (they are all black, so not the most fashionable things, but WAY better than the Merrells).IF YOU'RE NEW TO BAREFOOT SHOES: The Merrell shoes are much comfier than Vivo barefoot shoes and are more of a true fit: My feet are 28.5cm (UK 10) and the Vivo size UK 10 (which I was advised to get by the Vivo website) pinch at the toe a little.I hope that helps you make a decision! If it does, please leave a like!

Nice shoes!
Those are my first barefoot shots and they feel really good! Upper material feels very sturdy and sole is very grippy. The fit is just right - I have 28.5cm foot and the Merrell size fits perfect! Certainly good option to check out of barefoot is for you.
