I'm not a plumber but consider myself handy. I couldn't get the old valve out at first but went back and watched a few more "how to" videos and realized I needed to have the handle turned to the "warm" position ( I had it completely closed) once I turned the handle to the correct position the valve came out with ease. Popped the new one in, installed the new handle and worked like a charm. Hot water gets hot too. I read many reviews about the water temperature not getting hot enough. Not my issue at all. Very Satisfied.

Fit and finish on all parts was perfect and made install a breeze. The included valve seat tool worked perfectly. This kit was well worth the money.

The media could not be loaded. The old shower valve was dripping when turned off. This aftermarket valve stopped the dripping but now the water will not get hot, just barely warm. The temp adjustment is fully out to allow for the hottest water setting, but the water is not even close to the old hot water temperature. Showers are miserable.EDIT: attached video of official Symmons part vs this aftermarket kit. You can see the Symmons has almost twice as many holes in the middle of the body where hot water comes out. When I changed to the Symmons part I was able to get about 20 degrees F hotter, makes a huge difference!

Works how it is described no issues fixed the mixing problem and leak perfect

I can’t see what is wrong, but when you turn the shower on there is no way to predict if you will get cold or scalding water.
