Catstages Nina Ottosson Rainy Day Puzzle & Play Cat Toy Treat Puzzle, 14"

My cat Elton is a very intelligent boy. My super smart boy gets into trouble a lot...he needs a challenge. , This advance level has extra ways to add steps to get the treat! 2 days and I'm already putting treats in the moving cup. He has to move the leaf... then move the cup over the little bowl .. then move it out of the way to get the treat. . He's figured it out the second time around lol . But he absolutely loves it! It's part of our routine now! I say OK Elton and do you want to play with your puzzle? I put it down and he comes running!! he's a fun cat! He's my baby boy!! . It's suitable for dogs too! My corgi mix Jackie loves it! That little food hound and figured it out pretty fast too lol . I think it's a great value for the money it's very durable it's stable super engaging and it's really not that noisy the only thing is it slides around the floor a little bit so I would put it on carpet or a matter or something if you don't have carpet. That's what I do. I put it on a little mat I have three cats and a dog so I'm going to be buying more so I could have them parts of the house so each cat can play at the same time. And I'll give my Jackie corgi mix special doggie play time as well Lol My little cat Tabitha is a smart little girl she was so proud of herself when she figured it out the first time it was so cute!! she got a treat... , then she walked around meowing with her tail up like I found it I found a treat!!!! lol within the next day or two I will edit this review and put the toy itself with Elton figuring it out but here's the first puzzle toy I ever got him and he figured it out and five minutes not even lol I showed him once and he nailed it, which prompted me to find an actual puzzle toy.

My female kitten immediately took to it after I filled it with treats for the first time and figured out how to open or slide the moving parts to get at them. She had no trouble moving the cups and raindrops, which slide and turn easily (but not so easily that it doesn't take them any effort). It is solidly built and has some heft to it, so it shouldn't be prone to sliding around on the floor or table. It also looks pleasing to my eyes, although my opinion on it doesn't matter. All in all, I'm very happy with it.

I think this is a really cute toy IF your cats will use it. My cats are NOT dry treat motivated (maybe because I give them”healthier” treats versus temptations which they love). I recommend the toy and will keep it because Im a cat girl and I know I will have another kitty soon who may love it. I really think its cute and fun toy and worth keeping in kitty arsenal of toys.

Our cat had never had a feeding puzzle before, so we bought an easier Catstages Puzzle and Play treat puzzle to start her on. Shes pretty moody and always acts like she’s starving! Our vet suggested puzzle feeders so I decided to give these a try. They definitely did not disappoint! She figured out the first one on ‘easy’ very quickly and has been eating on the ‘difficult’ mode for a couple weeks. We introduced this puzzle for a more challenging option and she loves it! It makes her think, slows down her eating, and is definitely well built and safe to just leave out for her to come back and eat and play/search for food as she pleases! Definitely worth every penny!

We purchased the "Rainy Day" puzzle. I wasn't sure what to expect, our little girl tends to get bored of things quickly, so I thought she may get bored of this quickly also. But there are different things you can do to increase the level of difficulty, and even putting it in different places as suggested on the packaging (the packaging has some helpful advice!) I started by putting treats in it, to entice her to try it and not give up right away. Now, before I leave for work, I fill a couple of the "hidey holes" with treats and the rest with a few pieces of kibble. I like knowing she has something to keep her entertained while we are at work, when she's not napping or annoying her brother of course :) She's getting good at it! But, now we set up a couple of them to be more challenging and leave some of them more simple, to mix it up. Great product! It's a little bigger than I thought and the design is clever (I can't believe I didn't make the connection of the design and the name until I removed it from the box. The tray itself is shaped like a cloud and the blue "teardrop" swivel covers are RAINDROPS... Palm to forehead...duh.) Our boy isn't too interested in it...he's done it a couple of times, but is just "meh" about it. But our girl really enjoys it! If you have a curious one who often tries to figure things out, or seems to be bored with their current toys, I highly recommend this puzzle.

Great idea! But has a few flaws. The kibble can get caught in between the top and bottom layer. Sometimes the covers can get caught interfere with each other and my cat can't get to the treat. She likes it and it keeps her busy, but there are a few flaws and room for improvement

When my kitty became special-needs, she lost interest in many of her usual activities. So she started begging me for food all day as I worked from home - largely because it was the only thing she could think of to do. She needed a hobby. I tried a treat ball, but she wasn’t interested. I was desperate, so i bought this puzzle. It’s great because you can scaffold the activities from a half covered treat to actions that require two steps or object permanent memory. She actually prefers this to being given treats by hand, purring as she watches me fill it up. I do double check after she’s finished, to make anything she’s missed more accessible when she checks later - there’s a couple of configurations that need opposable thumbs to fix. We’ve had it about four days and she has figured out the hardest tasks, though it does take her awhile to work through the puzzle, carefully doublechecking that she didn’t miss anything. At this point, I think it’s less about treats and more about the challenge. Honestly, one of the best cat toys I’ve gotten.

We have two kittens, two months old and three months old, and a 15 year-old Maine Coon. We got this for our kittens, because they seem to need a lot more enrichment. They're always playing, they're always very curious, and they love treats. We didn't realize that our 15-year-old Maine Coon would actually get involved too, which is something that we're super excited about, because it's something they can bond over. The wheel is more advanced, so we haven't done that yet, but we will eventually make it to the wheel. The wheel has several compartments underneath it, and they have to turn the wheel to expose the compartments with the treats. They know how to slide the covers, and they know how to turn the raindrops. This was their first time with it, and I couldn't be happier with this toy.

Comprei para o meu gato que é obeso e está fazendo dieta. Achei muito bom, ele fica entretido tentando tirar a ração dos compartimentos e isso diminui a sua ansiedade. Ele está comendo mais devagar. Valeu a compra!

Material duradero, diseño bonito, a mi gata le cuesta encontrar la comida, pero lo hace al final, al principio se veía que sacaba algunos premios, se estresaba un poco y descansaba y luego volvía al ataque, ahora retira los premios más rápidamente porque ha aprendido más aunque sigue costándole mucho más la rueda grande, muy recomendable para tener a tu mascota entretenida si te vas unas largas horas y se queda sola en casa.

Es un artículo muy bonito, exactamente igual a la foto, se lo puse a mis gatas, una de ellas lo disfruta muchísimo, le he puesto los premios en los más difíciles, se tarda pero se entretiene, se ve que le gusta mucho. La otra michi ya es adulta y no parece entenderlo muy bien, pero igual le pongo los premios ahí sin taparlos y disfruta buscándolos solo con la mirada. Dependerá de la forma de ser de tu michi. En ambos casos les gusta aunque una pueda con las partes más difíciles y la otra no. Excelente compra!
