I am in complete love with this Uke! The ease of playing is amazing, it's an overall great quality instrument. The colour and lack of binding make it stunning as well. Good job Kala!I received it on time with 2 day shipping through Amazon, but it wasn't packaged very well at all. I would have liked to see it handled with a little more care.

Not a bad way to start
I'm glad that I bought an inexpensive uke before I bought a good one because the good one really shines in comparison. The Kala has a nice sound, but what is missing is a good set up of string and fret heights. This makes it more difficult to play, again making the good Uke shine. This Kala isn't a bad way to start playing, just make sure the price is right. A local music shop might be a better option.

This Uke sounds great. All the extras- tuner, carry bag, DVD, were nice too. My only worry is if I need to replace a string- it would probably need to be done at my local guitar shop since there's no pegs.
