My favorite gift to give new or expectant parents. This particular order was gifted to a young lady that has difficulty reading. The narration on CDs is perfect for her to hear the words and follow along.

I've bought this book countless times, but only one other time was I able to find it with the CDs. The couple to whom I gave the first book with the CDs to said their kids wanted to hear them over and over. Everyone I've given the book to has really enjoyed it. Our grandgirlies urged me to keep reading until I was nearly hoarse because they loved the way the story is written. As an adult, I appreciate that it tells the story of many people who God chose to do His work, but didn't build them up as heroes like the stories did when I was a little girl. I always felt inadequate because I couldn't be as good as the Bible "heroes". I didn't find out the rest of the story until much later, that each one of them also failed.

Theologically sound and not dummed down for children but extremely easy to follow. Every piece of it takes you through to the picture of Christ, the promise of the rescuer, always points to Christ in a way that is an adventure to dig into. My kids are the perfect example of "no one seeks after God," because everytime we pull out a kids bible to read them they start acting up and not wanting to listen. This one gets them excited to keep reading and the pictures are wonderful!!! My husband and I were talking about how it does such a nice job of wording and explaining you dont even need to stop to make your kids see connections or references to Christ, its all there already written in the most exciting way to grab ahold of young listeners minds. This is a huge blessing to our family. Praise the Lord for His Son, may my children repent and serve him one day when they are old enough to understand their need and Gods holiness.

My kiddos love the Jesus storybook Bible. I bought the CD version for bedtime and unfortunately because the reader has a British accent, my little ones (6 and 3) cannot understand what he is saying. I think perhaps it needs to be listened alongside with the Bible while my older child reads, instead. I still love having the audible version available to use! We just need to use it differently then I intended

The Bible, in it's entirety, supports a Christocentric worldview. The fact is that this wonderful story book chooses to focus on the Bible's incessant pointing to Jesus as our Redeemer, Savior and King. Despite what some of the naysayers purport in their reviews, this is a strength that helps children – and their adults – to remember the essential story of the Bible: that God loves us and has provided a path to redemption from the sin that separates us from Him, and that nothing but the evil of our own stubborn self-will can prevent God's love for reaching us. This is a beautiful book! Our grandkids were moved by it, over and over, to ask awesome questions about life and faith and Jesus. Furthermore, in the Deluxe Edition, the reader for the audio CDs is absolutely fantastic – a captivating, dramatic reader who pulls children and adults alike into each and every story. Buy this book, and it's Deluxe Edition, for your kids and grandkids, nephews and nieces! It's an awesome investment.

Beautiful book and case for the CDS! I love this. Second time I've owned the JSBB, because I gave my first one away to a newly Christian family and their baby in South Africa. But I never had the CDs so I am excited to listen to it via audio. This is a great buy for all new christians, old christians, and christians with kids! You're never too mature to enjoy the simplicity of the biblical stories come to life. PLUS it's a great way to learn the "gist" of some stories when sharing with people, and for those who struggle with the OT, it's great to show how the OT highlights Jesus' coming because each story does so.I know many adults who have this book on their shelf for personal use. Have child-life faith my friends ;)

This is the only children's Bible I've read that I agreed with almost completely. It is difficult to handle some parts of the Bible appropriately for small children, but this does a great job. My husband and I love reading it and so does my daughter. We started using this with her when she was 3 1/2. I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids. My husband even used part of it in an adult Bible class he teaches. I appreciate how the stories are woven together, how she points out what each story is telling us about God, and how they point to Jesus. It is not telling stories so you can quiz your kids on Bible facts. It it telling the stories so your kids can know the whole Bible points to Jesus.

I love this Bible! It makes an awesome baby shower gift or birthday gift for a child. I have purchased 3 of these so far and will be buying more. I love how EVERY story throughout this Bible points so clearly to Jesus. Even as an adult who has been reading the Bible for decades, I find this Bible to be enlightening and thought-provoking. It opens my eyes to foreshadowing of our Savior in the Old Testament that I never saw before. It is beautifully written and the colorful illustrations are fun. My 7-year old twins really enjoy this Bible. The stories are just the right length for bedtime and there is a warm and positive tone, with hope highlighted in every story. This is a must-read for kids and adults alike!

I just love the way these stories are written, always taking in the big picture of "God's big rescue plan". The illustrations are also beautiful. We did make the mistake of putting the CD on for my 4-yr-olds bedtime story- it is dramatized and I got called upstairs one night to find him close to tears listening to the crucifixion, oops! I would say they suit an age range of around 4-10.

FAST NEXT DAY DELIVERY..Beautifully bound and illustrated. The stories and accompanying CDs are easily understood, faithfully making clear the message and meaning of the Bible for children in a way that is not simplistic or patronising. The best story Bible that I've seen.

A truly fabulous book. For anyone who wants to teach their children about the Bible, it couldn't be better. The combination of David Suchet's wonderful voice and the way the stories are written with every one pointing to the love and care of God, I'm delighted!

Perfect first bible for children and great having the CDs for grown ups to listen to also.
