Berkley Gulp! Alive! Swimming Mullet Saltwater Fishing Soft Bait

I used to use these to catch flounder in the Gulf, now I'm in SoCal and getting back into surf fishing so these were a must have. I start with the gulp sandworms to find the fish, and then I throw these on when I want a bigger bite. Still chasing my first halibut (the 6incher didn't count), but the croaker seem to love them. These save me the time and effort of finding live bait in the sand and surf.

Gulp is legendary for being a tried and trusted lure. If you want to catch something, you use a jig head or bucktail paired with a gulp. The flounder absolutely love them. As you may hear, they are a bit fragile. You'll inevitably have the tails bitten off frequently. I personally think the curly tails are a top notch feature, they give movement to the lure with the slightest movement. If the lures are a bit too soft. You can take them out ahead of time and let them dry for 10-15 minutes. This will thoughen them up a bit. Don't leave them out for too long, otherwise they'll shrivel up. The gulp juice can be used to charge up any baits.

Fish Respond really well to these. The scent, and natural movement do it. Various colors are great since fish can react to that depending on conditions.

Got this for my man's birthday, and he went deep-sea fishing. Both caught on this, tipped with a little clam. Catch 'em up!

I like that it caught me a medium size flaty, the dip recharge feature makes this product great as you can make sure each cast is gonna bring in lots of fish ;) I've heard this stuff is 20x more likely to bring in fish, but I am not cluey as to the type of fish this attracts. Easy to attach to the hook through the mouth and out the body, but pretty pungent... Unfortunately, I don't think the lid is the best and when I capsized my canoe lost a lot of the scenting liquid luring in the water. I'm not sure what is in the stuff, but, I reckon it's still good even with just a small amount I've been dabbing on from the other gulps (25cm healthy looking flaty in images with hook placement).
