Great for beginners. This is my first time doing my own nails. I got tired of paying erroneous amounts of money just to get a simple full set. I did watch a few videos on Pinterest/IG/Youtube to get an idea of how to properly put the nails on. Even though I made one mistake (didn’t cure the glue after applying it on my natural nails) my nails haven’t budged. I’m rough on my nails so these nails are pretty durable and I have yet to have one lift or pop off. I do recommend prepping your nails by cleaning them and taking as much dead skin/cuticles off as possible so that the nails will adhere properly. I would also recommend to buy a dehydrator and primer (I bought some reasonably priced ones here on Amazon). The UV light that came with this set works well, I like that you don’t need to press a button since you have to hold the nail under the light. You get a good value for your money as it comes with most everything you need to do a full set of gel x. Quality and length of the tips are great and they look great on. I would highly recommend this set of you are a beginner or just want to start saving money by doing your own nails at home…you can do it! *The pictures and videos are after 3 weeks of having the nails on. *I did use gel polish also from Bettles that I purchased here on Amazon. All in all I probably spent less than $50 to purchase all the supplies to do my own nails. Ladies we all know that a full set alone can start at $60 or more, this is totally worth a try if you’re trying to save money and also be able to control how you want your nails to look! Try it out!

Love these tips. It’s a bit thick so it’s really good for gel x application and can be used to further reinforce acrylic application. I always only buy this brand, it’s really good and the price is worth it!

I am a newbie to applying false nails. I have been pairing my nails with Beetles gel polish for about 6 months. I gave their *** a try but it takes a lot of practice and is very hard to get the hang of. So I was excited to try these nail tips. I started by preparing my nail by buffing them to create more grit for the glue to stick to. Then I wipe them with nail polish remover and lastly cure one coat of base gel from my other beetles set. To apply I brush glue onto my prepared nail and cure for 10 seconds under the light in the kit. Then I brush glue on the bottom half of the fake nail. I then I apply it to my nail with lots of pressure to press out bubbles and hold it down while it cures under the light. Holding it down is the hardest part. My first set was a little crooked, oops. After applying all the nails I cured them in my larger UV light. The small light is only meant to flash cure them. The first set I ever applied lasted 18 days. And let me tell you I am not easy on my nails. I have four kiddos and am deep in the trenches with diapers, bath time, dishes and more. I never put on gloves as recommended in the instructions. I really wanted to put these babies to the test. On day 16 one nail did pop off while I was moving furniture. I told you I wasn’t easy on my nails. I purchased a different glue that does not need to cure under UV. As this glue will only set with UV and will not work once the nails are painted. I then went on to wear them for another 4 days until I lost one that popped off. I am super impressed with how long they last. I took off one star because I have very wide nail beds. Even in salons they struggle to find a perfect fit for my nails. So as you see in the video you can see a bit of my side nail. This is not a deal breaker for me because most people don’t examine my nails closely, so they would never know. The set has more nail sizes than will fit me but I have been using the smaller sizes on my pre teens. It’s a great set. I ordered almond medium, I am going to order the square medium next. A truly great set for beginners and real women who do real everyday tasks.

This Beetles Gel Nail Kit was super easy to use and came with everything I needed to do my nails at home. The medium coffin nails fit my hands so well and looked very natural. Everything was easy to use, even for beginners, and the nails stayed on nicely. My nails came out looking like I got them done at a salon. Great kit for doing your nails at home!

Update: dropped my review to three stars because the shape differences of the nails in my oval kit and also the size issue since all of these are incredibly long for small but also every types small vary. Tldr almond small was much longer than oval small. My oval box had a bunch of almond shape in it. I got short oval. I wouldn't call these short. I'm used to wearing medium from other brands and press ons and this is exactly that length. I was actually hoping for shorter, but I'm not mad about it. I am attaching photos, they have not been filed down or shaped this is exactly out of the box (I DID however filed the end to smooth it because they had the little plastic point from breaking off the molds but that's totally expected, I just didn't make them any shorter or change the shape). UPDATE: I liked these oval ones so much that I ordered the almond shape also in small. I felt like the oval smalls were still longer than expected, in fact, they are about the same length as my store-bought press on nails in medium. I am attaching pictures of the almond small that I received today. Sending this back because in no way are these small. Oval nails I have on have not been shaped at all this is the size they are out of the box and the clear nail on top is much obviously longer and definitely not a small. Returned. I needed to point out that these aren't exactly the oval shape I expected. Some nails actually didn't seem oval at all, they were certainly almond shaped. You can see in the video and photos what I mean. The brush on glue the polish came with seems extra strong and I am very happy with it. I am definitely going to repurchase that and keep using it regularly. I accidentally slammed my hand nails first into a brick wall trying to grab a box I dropped at work, normally I would absolutely expect a few nails to pop off from that. I'm a total clutz and I'm used to that happening. These did not budge at all. Multiple showers and washing dishes (with and without kitchen gloves because I forget) and still 5 days in there's no lifting at all. So that's a big PRO in my book. Honestly night not buy the nails again, but I will let the glue in stock. I used beetles black shimmer gel polish with a matte top for the photos. Tipped my middle finger in their bright orange to test it over opaque dark.

I am not a professional, I am an at home nail player. I’ve been muckin around with builder gel since November. I can not create an apex to save my life. All that being said - these were difficult lol. I have long nail beds which is great, but they’re not super curved which made these difficult. I ordered the almond short and they’re pretty long and it was very difficult to find my fit. Most nails I went bigger and filed down the sides - this took a very long time. I watched video after video after video of reviews and tutorials and the fitting and gluing was so quickly brushed over. Not a single one followed the instructions in the kit - which state to put the nail glue gel on your nail and cure for 60s and THEN put the glue on the fake one and THEN cure on top of your nail - but whatever. It wasn’t until a video said “it’s like putting a screen protector on your phone - place it, put a little pressure and let the nail do the rest” before i was able to get anything to stick properly. I did one layer of builder gel on top then put gel Polish over. If you set these crooked you can not fix it without soaking it off lol look, my polish is a mess, my cuticles are thirsty, I do not care. This took me 7hrs on a Sunday to do lol I just wanted to be done. As a first timer, this was difficult. I do not fault the product. 5 stars everything looked and worked as expected. Everything arrived in great condition. If there’s a next time, maybe it will go easier. Included pictures to show length. These are the almond SHORT and they are not very short. Granted I have alien fingers, but these are not short to me.

New to doing gel nails at home so purchase this kit as a beginner. Very easy to use and the nails are very high quality. Each nail does have a number at the very tip so you know what size you are using. The fit is exceptional and well. I went with the shorter length. They were the perfect size. I use nail glue remover and these were fairly easy to remove. Would the length I chose? They were very functional yet very durable. And I really put them to the test! Once I primed them the paint adhered beautifully and they looked almost professional. But again I am a beginner so I am trying to hone in on my skills! Definitely would recommend. They are excellent quality! The nail lamp is not only adorable but it works amazingly well. For something small. It packs a great punch and cures the nail adhesive beautifully. Would definitely purchase again and would recommend to all my friends.

I’ve been using this nail tip and glue gel kit for a while now and honestly have no complaints! It’s a great little set, especially for the price. The nail tips are easy to apply, and having the different sizes makes it much easier to find a good fit for each nail. The mini UV lamp is also really handy and makes the whole process quick and convenient. The glue gel holds really well, and my nails have stayed on nicely without constantly lifting or breaking. I also love that the gel can be used for different things, which makes the kit really useful for doing my own nails at home. Overall, I think this is a great set for beginners or anyone who just enjoys doing their nails themselves. You get a lot for the price, and I’ll definitely continue using it and buying more.

There’s all the products you need for basic nail prep, I’d suggest getting pure acetone with it to melt the base of nail better. All the products are good for a start in at home nails. The nails might look a bit flat if you don’t make an apex or try getting the nails already built in with it.
