StetsonGambler Straw Cowboy Wheat Hat

The pictures from the listing show a flat brimmed hat, but this vendor is a western shop, so my hat (see picture) came with a western shape. I actually like it better. It looks great on. I wear a 7.25 so ordered the lg/xlg. Most reviews said the hat was too big and one said just order a hat reducing kit when you order the hat. I did that and needed foam strips in both front, back and sides. It fits great now. My hat did not come with foam strips so if it says they are included, just order them separately. Very happy with my hat.

When I tried the hat on, it was a little bigger than expected. I'm a size 7 3/8. I'll likely need a stampede string to keep it on during the wind. Otherwise, I like it very much.

The hat is nice, but somewhat flimsy. The hat came pretty crushed from Amazon, but I don’t blame Stetson for that. I had to reshape it with a clothes steamer. The hat could be stiffer and more durable.

This a quality hat. Perfect for golfing or just shading the sun at the beach. It is worth the cost as it does not look or feel like a cheaply made hat. Highly recommend it.

Didn’t keep it because it was to lager but my husband has been wear this same hat for many years he likes it and it holds it shape with the metal in the rim

This hat arrived partially and irreparably crushed It was irresponsibly packed in a flat box with no protection from heavier packages which were likely stacked on top of it I will return it. In addition to all of this it is a shallow hat that doesn’t fit well a doesn’t stay on because it is too shallow.

The quality and style of this hat is very good and met my expectation. However, the size/fit is frustrating and disappointing as the hat is offered in only 2 sizes (small/medium or large/extra large) making an accurate fit almost impossible. I ordered the large/extra large per the size chart which indicated the small/medium would not fit properly. However, the large/extra large doesn't fit property either as its too big and obviously sized to accommodate too wide of a size range. Yes, the included foam sizing inserts help alleviate some of this issue, but the fit is still disappointing for such a nice hat.

So, I'm possibly a worst case given the available sizes, as normally I wear a 7 1/8 which is JUST at the upper edge of the S/M. But since 7 1/8 is usually tighter on me than I would want for summer, I bought the L/XL expecting it to be seriously large but hopefully I could make it work. I already had a selection of foam hat spacers that were larger than the ones that came with the hat. I'm saying you might need to spend $3-6 or so on a similar kit, but that it fits VERY nice with that bit of help.
