Can the legs be brought together into the center for easy storing?

Yes, it folds completely flat and comes with a plastic pouch for storage. One warning. This is not very tall. As shown in the photo your pot will be IN the fire. If you use it with one or two rungs of the chain, your pot will be above the fire. This is with the legs spread just to go on the outside of a fire ring that uses a regular size car wheel as the ring.

Each leg is 3' 5 1/2" (41.5") long. The chain with the hook is 2 feet long. When the tripod is standing, the top hook is about 2' 10" (34") off the ground.

Will this hold a 10 gallon kettle?

How much weight can this tri pod hold? Can it be used for a large cauldron?

Not sure the exact weight however it is really sturdy and I am pretty confident that it will hold a large cauldron.
