NOICE!! Panasonic DMC-GH4 m43
Wow, Iโm really impressed with the Panasonic LUMIX G VARIO 45-150mm F4.0-5.6 ASPH lens! As a photography enthusiast, I love how versatile this lens is. The zoom range is perfect for capturing everything from distant landscapes to candid shots at events. The optical stabilization is a huge plus โ Iโve taken some handheld shots at slower shutter speeds, and they come out crisp and clear. The build quality feels solid, and since itโs designed for Micro Four Thirds mount, it fits perfectly on my mirrorless camera. The image quality is sharp, and the autofocus is quick and smooth, making it super easy to get those perfect shots. Plus, the compact size makes it easy to carry around, which is great for travel and everyday photography. Overall, a fantastic lens that offers great value and performance!

This is a perfectly acceptable OIS Telephoto Zoom for an amateur kit. No complaints at this price point!
Took this lens with me to the Pyeongchang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games. I was there to watch my brother Andy compete; the pictures are of him and his teammate Dan during and after the final of the 1.1km Cross Country Men's Sprint Classic (Sitting). Yes, thanks to this lens and the burst mode on my Panasonic G7, I have some (I would say) pretty spectacular pictures of my brother winning a gold medal in the paralympics. Technical stuff: The action shots were shot at 150mm and f5.6 (wide open), off hand from maybe 15-20 feet away in good light, with OIS fully on and a cheap CPL fitted to provide extra protection to the front element and help deal with glare off the snow. The images speak for themselves, but I'd say the combination of fast shutter speed and OIS dealt with my so-so camera handling technique admirably. While it isn't weather sealed, I didn't have any problems with condensation or other water ingress during our entire trip, despite rain, snow, and temperatures below 20F. There are probably better lenses out there for this type of work, but this one was perfectly adequate for my needs, and at only $150, it was very budget friendly for an amateur.

Good for basic stuff BMPCC4k
I used it on a black magic pocket 4k. The lens fits perfectly, and works well, But here's what I can say after two months. Pros: Fits well Image stabilization works It's cheaper than most Quality is good Small/ Light Weight AF works on BMPCC4k Cons: Image stabilization feels choppy, if you are walking or moving it's not good as it jolts, standing still with the camera moving slowly or also still, it's perfect and great. But if you have a pock 4k you probably know IS will never be a full thing. It's a dark lens, the f stop says 4.5 but comparatively, it's a 7 or 8 on a normal full frame lens. That's the nature of MFT. So be in mind this is not a nighttime lens. You need a lot of light. It's not good for close-ups, up close. You cant stand next to someone and get a full view of them. You have to be several feet away so not for tight spaces. Might be good or bad but on sets, it's not great. But for a zoom far shot it's awesome. Yes, I would buy it again. I think it works well and doesn't draw too much energy when in use. It's a good lens for the price, but know it's not going to do everything. No lens will.

Excellent add on lens for family trips
UPDATE July 2018 I've since replaced this lens with the 14-140 f3.5 II mostly to avoid having to swap out the 45-150 for something wider. For those considering the move to the 14-140: - The 14 lens is noticeably larger than the 45 and while still comfortable on the GX85/GX9, it borders on being a tad too big for the body. - The power stabilizer on the lens doesn't seem to impact the battery life - Focus seems to be much more reliable with the 14 vs. the 45 - so is the low light performance. Neither lens is very good indoors but 14 seems to be a bit faster as the the specs would also indicate - the hood on the 14 is much larger than the 45 so you'll need to consider than when putting it in your camera bag so, if you like the zoom range and size/weight of the 45-150 - perhaps you got it as a kit lens - but are frustrated at having to switch lenses for wider shots, then look over at the 14-140. It costs more, is a bit larger but you'll love not having to worry about having the right lens on the camera - at least while outside in good light. -------------- end update - Got this in a bundle with the GX85 for our trip overseas. Glad I had it for the trip to compliment the kit 12-32 lens. Looking back at the 5000+ pics we took by far most of them were via this lens and it was lots of fun using it. I'm not a photographer and don't do sports or wildlife, just wanted something to capture our little one and my wife during our trip. what I liked about it: - it fits the GX85 rather nicely and gives you an additional place to hold the camera while shooting since the grip on that particular body isn't very large. - with the zoom you're able to catch people in more natural and candid expressions vs if you had to get up close and stick a camera to their face. I was able to snap pics of our little one playing and carrying on that I would never be able to do if she saw me trying. - you get a good amount of background blur. you don't really get any bokeh where the background turns into soft circles but you are able to make your portrait pictures pop quite a bit by hiding some of the background. - it works reasonably well in the dark. - the included hood helps protect the lens when you're walking about with the camera hanging around your neck. Some things to consider: - as it starts at 45mm, you can't really take a group photo with any kind of wide or tall background unless you step way back - as you zoom your picture will get darker so don't expect to be able to zoom into your subject and blur the background when it starts to get dark outside. - you may find that you're going to miss some photo opportunities if you're not willing or able to change lenses for a wider shot. We ended up using our phones for the wider group shots. If i had to buy my first lens for the camera i'd probably pick up the 14-140mm vs. this one since with that you don't really have to deal with changing lenses or miss any photos. But if I already had a kit lens - as our GX85 did - then I can't imagine not having this lens as an option during family photo opportunities.

Much better than expected!
After I hit 60 years of age, I dumped my heavy Canon equipment and switched to micro four thirds. I bought this lens because it was small, lightweight, cheap, and the equivalent of a 90-300mm zoom on a full frame 35mm camera. So, this is the lens I use for portrait and telephoto needs. With extension rings, it also does a decent job as a macro lens. Photozone.de reviewed this lens and gave it between 3 and 3.5 stars for optical quality, and 4 stars for price/performance. So optically, it's OK, not stellar. However head-shots at f5.6, (horizontal, not tight-in verticals), clearly show individual eyelashes, fine facial hair, and the tiny arteries in the sclera of the eyes. I have been pleasantly surprised at the amount of detail that this lens delivers. Given how inexpensive this lens is, and how good it is, it is an incredible bargain.

Cheap, Lightweight, pretty sharp but minimum focus distance is not great
The price is hard to beat, its very compact. Pictures are sharp and I don't mind the 150 max vs. the alternative 45-175 or 45-200 which are either much more expensive and/or much heavier. The only downside is really the fact that the minimum focus distance is quite long but I decided all think considered its really a 5-star

Buy it ! Great lens for the money....
I got this lens from amazon for couple of weeks by now. It is a 5 star lens for the money or if you pay twice the price it still be a 5 stars lens.Produces very good pictures quality and is very light and small.Size wise is close to my panasonic 12-35 but much lighter. The best pictures quality I got between f 5.6 to f 8.0 with my Lumix GX85 .The zoom range 45-150 is adequate for me for now. I'm not professional but I love nice - all around, and vacations pictures with out post processing, as much as possible. Can not say much about quality of the lens material, because time will tell the story.Made in China but look and fill good. My Nikon DSLR system got to heavy for me so I change it for m43 lumix-panasonic system and I'm very happy with it .

Amazing value for the money
Overall I'm very happy with this lens It's not a lens that I use on a regular basis. The image quality is pretty good especially for the price You can't go wrong add this to your kit. The autofocus is sharp. Stabilization at 150 mm I would definitely recommend using a tripod. Anything under 100 you can do handheld. Again I don't use this a lot. But I am very pleased I mainly stick to my 8 to 16 mm, my 100 to 300 my 16 mm sigma. Or my 65 mm sigma. This just gives me that range sometimes that I can't get from my other lenses. I will post a picture that I took with it.

Small and Still Great Reach
The optics are fine and the reach is superb for its size. It really is tiny and light for travel with all that in mind. IMO, it suits my G85 ideally. However, in return for all this it is not a fast lens and so either the ISO or SS will go up fast as the light tails off. It's sharp and presents no aberration issues that I can see. I kept it at 5 stars because of this. No dust/moisture sealing but adding sealing would push the price and weight up.

Great for the money
Does what you'd expect: no fireworks, but sharpness is more than acceptable, image stabilization works great and it's very light. Comes with lens hood too.
