About the Director Robyn Symon is a two-time Emmy award-winning writer/producer specializing in documentaries and television TV series. She has quickly become known in the industry as the transformational filmmaker, putting a spotlight on people who make a difference in the world. A former TV news reporter, Symon wrote and produced the national PBS documentary series Voices of Vision, hosted by NPR s Scott Simon. The series focused on non-profit organizations and ranged in topics from combating human rights violations against women in West Africa, to China s looming fast food health crisis, to the history of Boys Town. While at PBS, Symon also wrote and produced the musical special Boleros: Unforgettable Love Songs with Ricardo Montalban, Celiz Cruz, Jose Feliciano and many top Latin music stars which became a fundraising favorite for PBS stations nationwide. While at PBS Symon also wrote and produced the series Florida! which aired for six seasons on The Travel Channel. In 2007, Symon debuted in the indie arena, producing and directing the feature documentary Transformation: The Life & Legacy of Werner Erhard about one of the most controversial cultural figures of the human potential movement.
