Great razor
I have shaved 65+ years with a razor blade because electric shavers didn't agree with my sensitive skin, but several years ago, I developed essential tremor, (inherited) and started nicking my face because my hand shook so much so I had to find an alternate method. I did have a small Braun portable AA cell hand-held foil model that worked well but I figured I'd try a well-known triple head razor and bought one for $84 plus. Tried it and hated it so I returned it. This last Christmas i tried the Braun model S3 Pro foil razor for $63.00 and I love it. You can wash it under hot running water (which I do after about 3-4 shaves) or use it in the shower with w/out shaving creme, (which I don't). It is rechargeable, has a side trimmer that works, and has $15.00 replacement heads. This razor fits in the hand well, and each charge lasts long enough for at least several shaves. To help with my sensitivity skin issue I use Williams Lectric shave and that lets the razor slide smoothly over my face. If you bought this Braun S3 Pro razor, you'll love it.

Braun Electric Series 3 Razor with Precision Trimmer – A Lifelong Norelco User’s Perspective
I’ve used Norelco’s three-head rotary shavers for as long as I can remember. They were my go-to for decades, and I never really thought about trying something else—until recently. I decided it was time for a change and gave the Braun Series 3 with Precision Trimmer a shot.First Impressions:Right out of the box, the Braun feels solid and well-built. It has a clean, modern design and fits nicely in the hand—lightweight but sturdy. The foil-style shaving head was a departure from what I’m used to, so I wasn’t sure what to expect.First Shave:Surprisingly smooth. The shave was close and comfortable, especially for a first use. I didn’t experience any tugging or irritation, and it handled my jawline and neck area with ease. The triple-action cutting system glides over the skin nicely and feels more precise than my old rotary shaver. It didn’t miss patches or require multiple passes in the same spot.Precision Trimmer:The built-in trimmer is a handy bonus. It popped up easily and worked well for shaping sideburns and touching up around the edges. It’s sharp and accurate, though it won’t replace a dedicated trimmer if you’re detail-heavy with your grooming.Final Thoughts:As someone who’s been loyal to rotary shavers for decades, the Braun Series 3 really impressed me. It’s not just a good alternative—it might actually be better for my skin and shaving habits. The close, clean shave combined with the convenience of a built-in trimmer makes it a strong contender for everyday use.I’ll see how it performs over the long term, but based on the first week, I’m very happy I made the switch.EDIT:I’ve been using this Braun electric razor for a few weeks now, and I’m really happy with the job it does. It gives a close, comfortable shave without irritation, and the battery life has been excellent — I’ve not had to charge it so far. It’s easy to clean, feels well-built, and handles my morning routine like a pro. Definitely glad I made the switch.

Nice replacement for my long-lasting old razor!
So far seems to work very well! I made a mistake replacing my old razor with a cheaper razor with the three round blades and threw it away within two months buying this one. I have never liked those razors as hard to clean and put back together just for bad shave. This razor so far does decent shave and easy to clean!

Serving well at 2 1/2 years
I have been using this shaver for almost 2 1/2 years now. I have seen some reviews on here that were displeased with the sound level, but I have used it in motel room settings without waking my children (note: your kids may vary...). At this stage, the battery lasts me between 2 and 3 weeks with daily use, slightly less than it did originally, but still reasonable. The cutter head does not last me nearly as long as the advertised 18 months, probably closer to half that, and the quality of shave declines after about 6 months. In fairness, I generally am shaving in a hurry, and so I probably press harder and run faster than ideal, which may well reduce the cutter's lifespan. The beard trimmer was the most disappointing feature when I first got this shaver. The button/lever to flip up the trimmer was harder for me to operate (it could stand to be raised a little more), and it felt flimsy; I was afraid that I'd break something as hard as I had to push. However, after a couple of months (and that was only using the trimmer a few times a week) it seemed that the lever got broken in better, and now it operates much more easily. It just took some time. All in all, I am very pleased with this shaver. It cost considerably more than the Remington it replaced, but it's also already outlasted that one, and it gives every sign of continuing in service for a long time more.
