Never had an issue in the past with this product.
Clip was broken when I installed the screen, had to tape it so it would close but as you can see, doesn’t clip side to side. I do buy these frequently in the summer time and have never had an issue before.

Quite an Improvement
I can't say how much I'm impressed with this update magnetic screen door version. I absolutely love the thickness of it, as my previous one, although it was good for my little dogs, it wasn't so much for my 75-pound boxer mix. With all his energy, would come bursting in the doorway from time to time, literally tearing down the previous version. It was easy to install and fits perfectly over my back door. Love how the magnets seem to have been improved as well, snaps shut every time with no gaps, letting in fresh air and no bugs...lol Love the quality hands down...purchased the 2nd one as soon as I finished installing it. Definitely would highly recommend.

Easy and Effective!
I ordered this because my children can't seem to figure out how to close the sliding door. I have four kids, and now that it is summer there is a pretty constant rotation coming in and out. This seemed like a possible fix to the issue, as it would keep the bugs out but make it possible for the kids to come and go without me needing to constantly remind them to shut the door. Functionally, this has been great so far for our family! It allows the kids and the dog to walk through easily, then the magnets ensure that it closes automatically. Installation was really simple, and the directions included are very clear. I removed the screen door from the sliding door and installed this on the outside of the door, and it is the perfect width and length. Between the magnets there are small gaps, but none big enough that we have had any bugs come in yet. It definitely simplifies summer play and removes my concerns about a gaping door, The only thing I haven't been thrilled with is that the mesh stitching is frayed in the center (where the magnets are located) making a constant supply of loose strings in the center of the door. I have been able to just pull them off without it seeming to detract from the effectiveness of the screen, but it causes a lot of drama when everyone thinks they have a spiderweb on their shoulder after walking through the door! Eventually I anticipate the door losing enough threads that it will start to cause issues with the structural integrity, but so far that hasn't been a problem and I have seven kids (my own and their friends), myself, and a dog that are using it constantly.

There is a better product out there
I bought the original "As seen on TV" version Magic Mesh. It was a little to short for my oversized door. I then had an idea to buy a cheaper version and cut the cheap one to add the extra foot I needed and attach it to the bottom. I came across a knock off version Magna-Screen. The reviews claimed it was even better than the original. I gave it some thought and decided to upgrade my purchase and use the original as the cheap add on. The Magna-Screen is superior in so many ways it's not funny. The magnetic closure is much more complete and doesn't have gaps. I used a little mental engineering and came up with a much better installation than what either manufacturer suggests. I will explain my method next. First and foremost this product is truly a great concept and the knock off is much improved over the original. Don't be fooled by the idea that the original is better. This product is way inferior! Installation: I didn't like the comments about how the Velcro didn't attach well or disintegrated over time so I created a loop at the top to replicate a sheer curtain concept. I then installed a tension rod through the loop and now I don't have to worry about the Velcro detaching or pulling paint from my painted wood door frame. In order to keep the "curtain" screen from shifting in the wind I used the supplied tacks to attach the curtain edge to the door frame molding. I placed the tack in the curves of the molding so when they are removed you can barely notice they were ever there. This also helps create the slack that is needed in order for screen to work properly. Using the Velcro may not be an issue for most but I'm a renter and want to cause minimal damage when I move and remove the screen. I used safety pins for most all of my alterations and you can barely see them either. My door was significantly taller than the screen (something I had never thought about when I bought the original screen) so I had to cut the original "As seen on TV" version to make up the last section of screen. It looks a little odd but I was unable to find any manufacturer that made a unit that was tall enough for my door. I've included pictures of the original product and of the superior product Magna-Screen and close ups of my installation adjustments.

Overall I'm happy! I ordered a second for my backdoor, however You get what you pay for!
I ordered this for my front door, I like to regularly leave my doors open for hours for fresh air and I needed something to keep the bugs out. I am in a rental and wanted a option that was cheap, easy to install and was not permanent. This met all of those needs. It took about 5 minutes total for 2 people to install, that included nailing in the little tack/nails they give you. I waited about a week to see how well it worked before I bought my second one. My door opens in, so I mounted it on the outside door frame per the instructions. Going out has no problems, the magnets open very easily and click closed behind you. Coming in, when the magnets swing back to connect, they get caught and stick to the metal door, threshold, and other metal parts of the door handle assembly. We have kind of gotten used to just using our hands or our feet to knock them off as we come in so they connect back together. However, sometimes we would forget and half the screen would be open which let in tons of bugs, So keep that in mind if your installing this near metal, the magnets are pretty powerful! We spend a lot of time going in and out so I was surprised that it held up after the first day, some of the adhesive on the velcro strips separated from the wall (from the side that connects to the door frame) but that wasn't an issue really because I also used the tack/nails that come with it, which I would absolutely recommend using. The velcro strips are pretty strong, if you try to pull them apart they are really hard to separate, it will just come off from the doorframe. I kind of find them pointless, and I think you could just use the tack/nails and it would be fine. Knowing all of this I still ordered a second one for my back door. It is wood but has a metal kick plate so I expected similar annoyances. When my second screen arrived there was a small hole in the mesh in the top of one of the panels, I still decided to keep the product. After I installed it I noticed the stitching in the middle seam where the magnets connect was crooked, this caused large gaps in between the magnets and it left a large gap at the very bottom. We watched several bugs find their way in thru these gaps. Still we decided to keep it, because it only let a few in and that was better than nothing, I'd say it kept about 80% out. After about 2-3 days I noticed several threads started coming loose from the middle the seem. If felt like spiderwebs every time we would pass thru it. I trimmed them up and made sure no more would come loose, it would be fine for a few uses then we found more threads, I realized the whole seam was unraveling (like a knit sweater would) and keeping them trimmed up was doing nothing. I decided to return the second screen for a replacement. I haven't gotten my replacement yet, but it should be here within the week. Prime made the exchange very simple. I am hoping it will be like my first screen. I like to leave my doors open for fresh air throughout the year, more so in spring and summer, and still but less in fall and winter, I hope it will last at least through summer but have a feeling i'll need to replace it in fall. Highly recommend it if your a renter, when I took down the second screen to send it back, the tack/nails did leave very SMALL holes, however they are hardly noticeable and a much better option than screws from a traditional screen door. Sadly we don't get to have any pets in our rental but I'm looking forward to my father in law coming to visit to see how his dog reacts to it, I have a feeling shes not going to like using it haha. I think you absolutely get what you pay for, its a cheap simple fix to keep the bugs out, and even with the little quirks I'd say it works and overall we are happy. I really wanted to love this product and give it a 5 star after the first day but after the issues with the second screen I just couldn't. Overall we are happy!

low fabric quality
I've had this up for a month now. Initially it works great and how it's intended, but the quality isn't the best and ripped a little the first day I put it up. Now it has ripped at the top as well when opening. I would have given this 4 stars if the durability lasted longer. Besides that if you are just looking for something short term, this does the trick. It keeps the bugs out and fits well in a standard door frame. The Screen door does open and close well. But, if your door it metal you'll just have to make sure the magnets don't get stuck to the door when you open close the the screen. It does allow lots of airflow .

Calidad insuperable
Hemos instalado varias cortinas mesh, de diferentes marcas, y esta ha sido la única a la que no se le han caído los imanes, o que no se ha despegado del marco, ademas de ser bastante fuerte. Las demás solo serán imitaciones, esta es la original.

Didn't fit my door
Although it was missing some adhesive pads & didn't fit my door, they were very prompt in issuing a credit.
