Gumdrop [Asus Transformer TF700-Adaptive Shock Resistant Layer Case] Drop Tech Black/Red DT-Asus700-BLK-Red

This protective case fits perfectly and my tablet is very secure. I feel better about packing it in soft travel bags that will be stacked and crammed into a van or overhead storage. I can give the pad now everyday rough treatment without worry. The touch screen is no longer as sensitive with its new protective screen overlay. So I bought a stylus which works well with it. All the ports are readily available for cable connections. This is the toughest case I have ever seen and fits perfectly. Oh yeah, it is a tad bit inelegant (unattractive?) by some standards, but I prefer to think of it as distinctive and easily identifiable. No one else is going to walk away with it by accident. I've always preferred function over design. This is one hardworking case and it suits me perfectly.

I bought it to protect the Asus Transformer from accidental drops and other damages. It performs as expected and is totally rugged. The back looks like someone made the case out of a tractor tire skin...so its FULLY protected and also has seals for all the openings like the connectors and the headphones jacks. the back rubber you see has a great grippy feel to it but the red bezel is a hard plastic.It comes with a plastic screen protector which I kept on for a few days but removed it since I couldn't get the "responsiveness" out of the screen on touch. It works well without it..but the screen glass is wide open as of now...Overall want something to protect the tablet and dont care about the smooth and sleekness of the tablet, this is a perfect case.

Fast delivery. Case is very strong and the tablet is completly protected. The only donwnside is that the button for power and volume do not align for the TF701T. Still, it can be turn on or off through the cover without problem. For the volume you have to remove part of the cover. Since there are not many covers as strong and rugged as this for ASUS tablets, this case will do for the time being.

Having used Griffin cases for iPads and Otterbox for other devices, I was looking for truly rugged protection for an Asus TF700 after having destroyed one in a simple leather case. The Gumdrop case was the most rugged I found. The case fits well, and short of dropping it on purpose to test it, seems very rugged. The included screen protector is replaceable should it be necessary. One caveat is that the screen protector reduces the sensitivity of the touch screen some. All the ports are covered with moveble plugs and buttons are covered, but the cameras are not. There are small holes over the speaker too, so it's not completely waterproof. As a firefighter, I'm used to dealing with ruggedized radios, computers and other equipment. This case takes a non-rugged device and hardens it as much as feasible.

It's really a shame because this case made my tablet seem invulnerable but it also made my tablet virtually unusable for games. Plus, I got several negative comments from colleagues that that it made it look like a toy. If your kids are using your tablet..... I considered removing the screen protector and using it that way but then the unit looked "unfinished" and you could really tell that it was missing. I might have kept the unit for use when I felt extra protection was warranted, like travelling, etc but the case is rather difficult to install/remove and doesn't lend itself to "quick change operations. I ended up returning it and buying the rooCase executive....

The product seems pretty rugged, well made and it came at a great price. The screen cover is a bit thick and caused reduced responsiveness so I had to remove it in order for the kids to use the tablet. In summary I would buy again and/or recommend it to a friend.

its very strong good material but did not feet on my tablet and it said it will so i had to make a cut so i can access the volume and power so far so good.

I like the ruggedness of tthis case, I just wish the screen sensitivity was a little better. I am very pleased with it overall and knew i would be giving up the smooth touch. screen for more rugged protection. I take my tablet to construction sites, and the protection this case gives was the best i saw.
