BJJ Gi - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Sports Uniform Blue White Black or Gray Jacket & Pants w White Belt

Quality From what I can tell this is a quality made Gi. On the jacket, all of the major seams have been triple stitched together. The shoulders are double layered. The rubberized lapel is thick and sturdy. I have not seen any defects in the stitching. The cotton pearl weave is mid weight and a very strong weave. The material is stiff until you wash it and roll in it a few times. On the pants, Its been cross stitched to make is like rip stop material with the cells helping to prevent the spread of a tear. The pants are a very lightweight material. The knees are double layered and comfortable when rolling. The draw string is very thick and good quality. No noticeable defects in stitching. triple stitched seams and a diamond gusset in the crotch to allow for excellent mobility. Fit I'm 5'8" and 160 lbs, I usually wear 30x30 jeans and medium shirts. The jacket size A2 fit the length of my arms perfect and the bottom of the jacket came to just below my waist. The shoulders fit my wide shoulders and the collar was about right for my neck. First wash was on cold and I put it in the dryer yielding nearly no shrinking. The jacket is shaped like a T, so with your arms down while wearing it the material bunches up. This is because the sleeves are not sewn on but all one piece. Yeah A2 jacket was a good fit. The pants that came with the jacket for A2 were way to long for me. They dragged on the floor and were wide enough that someone 250lb could wear them with room to spare. I returned the Gi and requested an A2 jacket with A1 pants. The A1 pants I got were perfect for me and the bottoms came to my ankle while standing and just above my ankle while crouched. They were also not nearly as baggy, but still enough room for great mobility. Overall excellent quality for the price, I will be ordering another and using these for the foreseeable future.

I’m 6’2”, 235 lbs with a long torso. I wear 36x32 jeans. I bought an A4. A4 in other brands fits well, though the sleeves and pants are a bit short. In this brand, the top is a bit large - a bit too wide around. Sleeves are right for my long arms. Pants are significantly too large in the waist, but cinch down fine. Leg length is good. I’m thinking about trying to shrink it down a little bit, and wonder if a size down would’ve been better. In terms of quality, initial blush seems like you get more than you pay for. Heavy duty fabric, high quality cord on the pants, most seams or double or triple stitched. I imagine it will hold up well. Washing it on cold with a dry on medium did not seem to shrink it. The free belt is thin, low quality, and barely usable. Update a few weeks in: Belt is better than I thought and works fine for the money. You’ll probably wear it out if your gym adds stripes to your belt, but so be it. Still hasn’t shrunk appreciably washing on warm and drying on medium. A4 was the right size for me. One of the instructors noticed it as soon as I walked in because of the no branding. Despite being inexpensive, he did not think it was cheaply made. In his opinion, it came out of the same factories as more expensive ones. I’ll probably be buying another one for practice, and will happily put off the day I think about spending 3x more for one from my gym.

This is a pretty great starter gi! The material is good, I'm hoping it doesn't fray or tear over time. For the price it's a very good deal. 2 things I didn't love are: - The pants are too baggy, even after shrinking there's more room than I would like (and more material to grab) - The drawstring on the pants only has 2 loops to go through on each side, and they're placed right next to each other. I would have preferred the loops further apart, and 3 or 4 loops would be even better.

Let me start of by saying that I ordered a larger Gi with the expectation that I would have to hem the pants and possibly the sleeves. I have a very athletic build and needed a larger Gi top to fit my chest and shoulders. I ordered this one for Kenpo class and not for Jiu Jitsu. I like a Gi that is a bit more substantial and doesn't feel like I am wearing PJ's to class, and this Gi is absolutely outstanding. The top is quite strong and has a solid weight to it without it being to heavy. This top was made to take punishment and rough use and see them through with aplomb. The pants are made of a very nice weight but not of the heavy cloth of the jacket which is fine as my art does kick quite a bit and my legs will not be weighed down during kicking drills. I have nothing but good things to say about this product. It is well made and solidly stitched. There are no large advertisements all over it, it is a nice even black Gi that will last for years of rough use. If you want a nice weight gi for any art, I would say, you could do far worse than this very well made uniform. You Jiu Jitsu practitioners out there who are looking for a nice, solid gi but don't want to be a walking billboard should look here. You will not be disappointed with this gi at all. I will edit this review in a few weeks with hard training both in and out of the dojo and let everyone know how it is holding up. Seriously looking forward to training in the one folks. EDIT: So, I have had it for a coupe of weeks of training now. I thought I was going to have to have it altered but the seller contacted me and told me how to wash it for a good fit without alteration. They were spot on. It fits perfectly after only two washes. As I said before, I got this for Kenpo and not BJJ. At first when I picked up the jacket I thought it might be a bit to heavy for what we do, but after some extensive daily training in it I find that I love it. I feels substantial when you pick it up but when worn the weight seems to disappear and it is as if you are wearing butter. It is well fitted but moves with you and allows you very good freedom of movement. The sleeves roll up well for when you want to get down to business and despite how thick the top is it is relatively quiet when performing techniques. All in all I am very glad I purchased this Gi and I would highly recommend it. I was thinking of getting a century rip stop Gi and I still may for when these Texas summer temps start spiking but for now this is and will be my main go to Gi.

I am a new BJJ student and this is my first gi. So, coming from that position, I really had no idea of what to look for, sizing, yada, yada. I bought this solely on price and the other reviews. I'm 5'10" and a muscular 205lbs with 34" waist, 35" dress shirt sleeve and 32" inseam. I went with the A3, did my first wash in cold and let the gi air dry. The top fits well. I feel like it could be a tad longer and it is a roomy in the body/sleeves, but it seems to fit similarly to the other students in my class. I feel like I could gain 15-20 lbs and this would still fit (especially in the gut). For the pants, they would fit a HUGE waist, but they cinch down just fine for mine. The length is decent and where most of the other student's gi pants hit at the ankle bone and above, mine are longer than that, but not long enough that I trip over them. I could probably run them through a hot dryer and be perfect. The belt is simple and does what it needs to. The overall quality seems good. My instructor came up and was feeling the material of the top and said it was very nice. It feels pretty bomb proof. The pants are much thinner than the top, but they don't feel like I am going to rip them. I'd recommend this to another starting BJJ student if for no other reason than this was one of the least expensive gis I could find and my instructor was impressed with the quality.

Gi is very heavy and durable. The collar feels as thick or thicker than a double weave. I've been rolling in the Gi for two weeks so far and it seems pretty damn strong. Definitely gets hot as hell inside. Pants are lighter and thinner than the top. They should hold for a while, but will definitely give out before the top. To reiterate, the top is extremely thick, and the bottoms aren't. Compare this to some of the Venum or Samurai brand gi's and you see that those are the same thickness throughout. Overall I am happy with this Gi. I'm not complaining about it's quality, just trying to explain what it looks/feels like. It's a good gi. My ONLY COMPLAINT is that they promised a free belt with it when I purchased the gi. I had inquired even before the order was completed or shipped, and they still said they were sending a belt. Package arrives, and behold - no belt! I contacted them and they said the belt would be shipped separately, but I still haven't seen it.

I'm female, 5'4", 150lb, an 8 pants and a M top - the A1 fits great. I have broad shoulders and the jacket fits well through the back/shoulders and has the perfect sleeve length right out of the bag. The pants are a little loose at the waist but fit right in the butt/thigh, so an A0 would have been too small. The mesh carrying bag is a nice bonus. You can tell it is really well made by the weight and thickness of the fabric as well as the sturdy seam work. Pretty much everyone else at my dojo rolls in Deus or similarly branded gis that run anywhere from $100-$200. As someone just starting out in the sport, I couldn't justify spending that much on one gi, especially when I need at least two to get me through the week. Sure, this doesn't have the fancy patches or slogans, but I'm not a fan of those anyway. After rolling in this for a few weeks, I am confident that it is just as good of quality if not better than some of the more expensive gis of my partners. Some people may prefer a more lightweight option, but the thickness of the jacket isn't a big deal to me. You're probably going to get sweaty rolling either way. My instructor likes to say that a big part of JJ is becoming comfortable being uncomfortable, and I'm a fan of that phrase. I've washed it multiple times with no shrinking, pilling, or anything crazy. I have let it air dry as well as tumbled it on very low with no issues. I'm sure if you wanted to tighten the fit a bit that a spin on high heat would shrink it up a bit, but it fit well enough on me that I didn't want to chance it. This is a great, simple gi without all of the frill and fuss of the branded gis but of equal or better craftsmanship.

I have been training in Karate and Judo for some time now, and recently started cross training in BJJ. I love this GI. Cheaper than my Judo Gis, and just as durable. The fit and quality is even higher, with a good amount of heavy stitching in high stress areas. The GI pants are much heavier than standard GI pants, and made of rip stop material. That’s the same that I used in the US Army, and basically it keeps small rips small until they can be patched. A really practical touch. Plus the draw string is cord, not a flat piece of cloth draw string. It slides/tightens much better and stays secure. The cord is held by 4 loops on the front of the pant, much better than 2 on most pants. Lastly, it came with a belt. All Gis should, but I guess a lot of BJJ Gis don’t. Even if you already have one, it’s always nice to have a spare to tuck away in the gym bag for when your partner forgets his. Overall, a great GI for training at a very affordable price. Highly recommended.

I am 5'8" and 165 lbs. Fits perfectly meaning arm and leg length are perfect. I purchased this to replace my Karate gi because it has no advertising and I was tired of ripped outfits. I previously owned a heavy Tokaido gi: I am 52 years old, not a competitor but we did a good amount of throwing in my Karate style. The old expensive gi ripped at the back neck and shoulder seams over time. I got it repaired until I was told that the fabric was beyond repair. I am looking forward to my new gi and plan to buy a black one for my little home dojo (the colour would not be allowed in my karate club) because I want to scare my wife perhaps. I look forward to wearing it and may report back on the quality of it in action. November 23rd received the gi in white (I laughed hard) after ordering a black gi. Really; if this is made by martial artists, I was expecting the same attention. Returning the item, let us see if they get the order right this time.

Its quality but shrinks as tou wear and wash. It would probably become 2 sizes smaller as you wash.

Good product for the price, only used a twice so far, for a bit big for me, washed and dried and was good.
