Stands up to repeated scrubbing of charcoals and iv used pastel pencils on it too.The mid tone grey works well as a background for working with charcoals and white chalk/pastel/charcoal.

Mixed media grey paper
I use it mainly for colored pencils. It works great wit this medium. Smooth enough and at the same time allows pigment from the pencil to grab to the surface.
