This item was designed very well for the intended purpose of protecting my desk. Prior to realising I needed this item, I discovered my desk mounted microphone clamp had squeezed the desk too hard and had created a dip/some minor damage. This desk was from a notable blue & yellow European company and the way they make this desk is compressed board in a white thin casing so the pressure of a heavy item plus the moving of the microphone arm was applying pressure every time in use. This item has secured the area, displaced the precise pressure points etc and also makes the desk clamp look better almost like it is a grander piece of skit. Due to the limited desk space I cannot buy more for my key lights that are also clamped on the desk but luckily, for now, these items are not causing damage like the mic arm had done so. I feel confident in recommending this item to others.

Perfect for the job. I have a ikea computer desk and my triple screen mount kept on leaning forward and squeezing the desktop as it wasn’t strong enough to support it. Bought this and now it’s perfect cannot recommend enough

I have a thin desk, so needed something to help support the monitor arm I wanted to attach. It's very easy to install, seems to be of good quality and weight and looks pretty good. Would recommend.

I got this in combination with the Vivo dual arm stand. It is perfect. I would suggest though, especially if you are using a a hardwood table, to get some offcut leather from a local saddlery and cut a top and bottom bit 5mm or so bigger than the plates to help cushion the considerable forces that thing thing puts out in order to protect your table.
