10' Medium rod: Best rod I own
Love this rod! So sensitive and still a strong backbone to haul fish in. I've had it a few weeks and have landed 2 nice sized striped bass with no issues. It's a steal at this price. I've already ordered a 2nd one.

Trophy ii 8’ MH surf rod
Based solely on favorable reviews I made the purchase of this 8’ surf rod primarily for Inshore and jetty use. Jetty species demand a good back bone and Trophy ii MH has it. The rod is super light and appears to be as recommended for Tog fishing on the numerous NJ jetties. I paired the rod with a Penn Battle DX 5000 reel per yet another highly qualified recommendation and spooled it with J Braid at 40 lb test. Based on prior Battle 3 DX 5000 reel experience this combo should be up to the task at hand. For less aggressive species I may pair the rod to a 3000 or 4000 reel and lighter cordage.

Some Imperfection Dents...
I have not tested the item yet but inspected it when I received it and it has some dents on the grip. Hopefully it didn’t go into the rod fiber... Also has some scratch dent chips as well as you can see. Overall the item was shipped well. I see there is a $25 charge for warranty repair and also need to pay to ship it back to Bimini on the tag - so keep that In mind.I hope this rod last me a long time and does not break easily. Come to think of it, the 70/30 split might make it hard to carry/transport. I might not be using it that much as I would need to walk with it. 70/30 doesn’t quite make it that cool to walk around it long distances.

Great fit
Pound for pound a great rod . It’s a bang for the buck and very underrated

It seems light for the length, which is good.
This is my first surf casting rod. I won't have a chance to use it until late June. Even though I am only 5'6" and am weak due to recent surgery, I had no trouble with a few test casts without reel in my front yard.

Cost me $20 bucks a cast and broke on first fish
Owned this rod for about 2 hours. Was stoked to receive it today. Serviced and respooled my penn 4000 spinfisher last night in anticipation. Arrived today and I immediately unpacked it, paired it with my 4000 loaded with 20lb braid. Hit a spot I’ve been fishing for 23 years and was excited to scale down from my 10’ Nitro seatech to something a little more light tackle for the fish we generally catch there. Average 3-8lbs. We’re up on the rocks about 9’. First casts so I was getting a feel for the action tossing a 1 ounce lure. Pretty good but short casts to start. 5th cast I hooked up with about a 6-8lb fish, got it to the rocks and started to bring it up as I have brought hundreds of Fish up from this spot. Rod snapped below the ferrule, and slid down the line, no first eye to have a chance to hold on to it. Line snapped, lost everything including the fish from the break on up. Maybe a bad blank. I used to do this same thing with a 6’6” light pole for years and never had an issue with any other rod doing this Same action ever. This is my first and last tsunami pole. Had one friend tell me his broke first day too so I’m pau with tsunami’s. I can’t recommend this rod based on my one 5 minute experience. $100 last longer at a blackjack table in Vegas. I’d say don’t waste your money. Shipping was great, fisherman’s Resource did a great job packing and shipping and I highly recommend them. Shipped in heavy duty tube with interior packing paper to keep from banging around in transit. Received quickly. I don’t blame them
