How many ounces of espresso can you make?.Does 6 cups mean 6 espresso sized cups or regular cups?

It means 6 espresso-sized (demitasse) cups. I have been able to make, at most, a tad over 8 oz. of coffee by filling the water just above the pressure valve and importantly, lowering the gas flame once the water is boiling, thus getting the largest cup without triggering the pressure valve. And not to be too geeky, this is not strictly espresso which is made at 7 or maybe 9 bars of pressure, while the Venus can only manage 1.5 bars of pressure (just boiling water pressure). I have found it to be a great alternative to Melita filter coffee (too weak and bitter for my personal taste) and to real espresso (expensive machines, small amounts of fantastic coffee). The Venus provides me with almost enough volume of smooth, strong coffee (I also had to try different roasts to find my preference - smooth Mocha-Java beans and strong Espresso-Forte beans mixed together). Highly recommended.

What’s the difference between this and the Bialetti Kitty?

Hi, just looking at the specs of the two makers, the Kitty makes 20 oz of coffee and the Venus makes10 oz of coffee. other than that they are very alike. Hope that helps.

The size (6 cups) is correct? 9 x 11.3 x 7.1 in, larger than 10 cups?

My 6 cup Venus has a base diameter of 4.25", a height of 7.5", and a maximum width of about 5". The base holds about 10 oz. up to the safety valve. However, the coffee grounds absorb water during the brewing process and some water remains in the bottom after brewing to prevent blackening of the steel. It brews about 6 1.5 oz. servings or 3 nice double espressos. The 4 cup size makes two.
