Very effective and our cat loves it!!
We have a 10-year-old cat who has started getting mats lately. We tried 3 different cat brushes with very little success. We tried bathing him and actually caused more mats to form. I saw this and recognized it as similar to a brush my parents had for their cat when she was elderly and couldn't groom herself. I bought it thinking "If this doesn't work, we'll have to take him to a groomer." Let me tell you. The first time we used it, so much excess hair came out! Our cat instantly fell in love with it and started begging us to use it. About two weeks later having used it almost daily, we've gotten several of the worst mats out and his coat is looking better! Is it a substitute for a professional grooming? No, probably not. We may still need to get our kitty some extra help. But it worked far better than we expected, and it turned out to be something he enjoys. Highly recommended!!

A must-have for long-haired pets!
Wow! i couldn't believe how well this thing works - my long-haired (Norwegian Forest mix) cat is a wiggle-worm and doesn't like to be groomed, so it is a struggle, especially to get to the mats stuck underneath his belly. I saww this and decided to get one to see if it would help. Not only does it work well, but he actually likes it! At one point he rolled over on his tummy and let me groom all the mats and fur! Amazing. I was also stunned at the amount of fur that came out - considering i do brush him and have another comb that i use regularly. See the ball of fur in one of the photos. He still has his 'mane' though so it didn't pull out too much. Since it is high summer here and hot, he seems more comfortable as well. I like that the tool has two sides - one for dealing with mats in his fur, and the other for pulling out the loose undercoat. I got the small size which is perfect for cats and easy to hold. I did notice that grooming him produced a lot of static and the fur clings to everything! I think that is a factor of the dry summer weather and the grooming action, not so much the tool itself. It is easy to remove the hair from the tool to clean it - the hair doesn't stick to the tool which is nice.

Holy Hades, it's a miracle
I've tried all sorts of brushes for my longhaired Siamese. Poor fellow is starting to have hairballs and cannot, for the life of him, penetrate that coat. I've tried other brushes before - regular brushes, the infamous furminator, and the "de shedding glove," but none of these seemed to pull off more than a few wisps of his fine hair. I was skeptical when I looked at this product because the teeth of the brush were so far apart, and the hooks didn't look that promising. I thought, "that'll just glide right through his fur and do nothing." But other people's reviews with equally fluffy cats made me buy it. So. Glad. I. Did. I don't know what magic this thing has, but it pulls out clumps of fur. The chunk in the picture is only half as much as I was finally able to grab by the end of our session. And beware, your carpet will be coated in fur, and so will you. He doesn't want to sit still for it, so I keep a treat container nearby and let him paw and shove at it for a bit as I brush. Then I give him one and get a few shots in at his hind quarters while he chews. Another thing I noticed is that I pull out a lot more fur if I work the way a cat licks. Short, quick strokes really do the trick. Go in alternating directions to grab more - down strokes, then side strokes, then down again. Grabs a ton. I also listened to another reviewer who recommended the small for cats. Great advice, thank you whoever you were. Perfect size for my tank of a Siamese. He's a happy boy now that there's a lot less of him. Product seems sturdy like it will last a long time . Thank you Maxpower Planet Pet!

Great for GSDs
I have a German shepherd, so shedding is a daily occurrence. This brush really gets into the fluff on his legs and removes loose hair and undercoat without pulling or scraping his skin. Even just a couple passes with it make a huge difference! It's easy to hold with a grippy handle, it's a good size, and goes through his hair easily. So far, this is as good as new after several months of use so I know this will last.

Works so well
For the price I wasnt expecting much but omg it is so good for my Silky terrier's spay coat! She gets tangled and matted super fast as soon as im finished brushing because of the hormone change after spaying and this is helping me manage it

Great Brush
This is a fantastic brush. I have two short hair cats and have been using it on them. Itโs amazing how much fur is coming out! They seem to really enjoy the feeling as well.

Nice size for cat, seems to work well on removing undercoat & loose fur
Purchased to groom out a long haired cat (just adopted her) that has not been groomed in a while. She tolerated the gentle brushing for a short while and the brush did remove a remarkable about of dead & undercoat. The challenge will be the larger matts in her fur ... but thus far it is tolerated and is removing a lot of fur

My cat LOVES this brush!
My very picky long haired cat LOVES this brush! It's great for getting at her undercoat and doesn't pull hard. She was apprehensive at first but I just sprayed it with cooled catnip tea and she loves it so much.
