Cute litte books, my granddaughter loves them

These books are smaller than I expected (they are about the size of the palm of my hand and I have small hands lol), but they are perfect for my son's little hands! He loves them. The colors are vibrant, the material is thick and good, the pages are very easy to flip for my 1 year old and they don't stick to each other. I love that they have real pictures of the objects/animals described. The variety of words is great, and the size of the letters is really good for when the kiddo starts reading. My baby keeps handing them to me to read to him. Totally love them!

As other reviewers mentioned, the books are very small. Think pocket sized. I imagine this size will be kind of fun for my toddler, and there is usually only one image and word per page, so it is clear and big enough. I like that they use real images instead of illustrations. One caveat, I would not give these to a teething baby unless you plan to constantly supervise… they are the perfect size and shape to chew on and would easily get destroyed, not to mention the inks are probably not suitable for consumption. The other thing I noticed is that some of the translations and/or word choices are a bit odd, or much longer (5 syllables!?) words than you might teach a beginner learner. For example they use van -“camioneta” instead of a word with shorter translations like car (coche or carro). They include some unusual first words- for example “bitter gourd” in vegetables. I’m not sure where bitter gourd would be an essential first word for a toddler, but we’ve never once used one in our kitchen! Then they don’t include something super common like a tomato. The set includes both a Spanish and English alphabet book because not all the translations start with the same letter, (though there could have been more overlap if they had tried). In the end they were good enough that I kept them, since I want my baby to start hearing Spanish words early. This will get us started, and I didn’t see a better option for a fairly comprehensive English-Spanish first words set. I’ll try to update after the little person gets to check them out. Update: She likes the pictures and will flip through on her own, and also likes putting them in and out of the carton. We definitely have to watch her to make sure they don’t go in the mouth at this stage.

Bought this library for our grandson whose wife is from South America. They just had their first baby and they loved that the books were both in English and Spanish. The library seems really small at first, but when you think about the size of a baby’s hands it makes perfect sense. Great size to also slip a few books in the diaper bag to keep baby amused when away from home.

First of all, the size is misleading. The pictures make you think you are getting “normal” size board books. But these are TINY! You can see the size comparison next to a sharpie & juice box. They are small, but that’s not a negative thing! Just took me off guard. The small size is great for little toddler hands & travel. Just throw into any bag or purse and off you go. The pictures are excellent quality and I really love the different options & comparisons they chose. I can’t wait to read these with my daughter. Love the English/Spanish on each picture. Highly recommend & will be purchasing these books for every baby shower gift!

The "My First English - Español Learning Library" is a wonderful boxset of 10 English-Spanish board books. My daughter absolutely adores these books. Great books to learn Spanish. Lots of vocabulary. The images are super cute too, which makes my kids want to read the books over and over again.
