CASE U HW1 1080P Webcam with Microphone, 360° Rotation Plug and Play Pro Streaming, Digital Zoom, USB 2.0 HD for Video Calling/Conferencing, Online Teaching or Gaming- Black

I bought this to get a camera quality better than the built in webcam on the laptop. Also, I needed to cover three persons sitting in front of the camera. All these objectives are met with the Case U cam. Installation was a breeze as it worked instantly on plugging it in. By default, the built-in camera works and you have to click on the icon to select the external camera.The video quality is excellent and the wide angle view is useful. The feature to rotate the cam and the facility to mount on a tripod are appreciated.The sensitivity of the mic has scope for improvement.Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase as it is definitely value for money.

Edit: The webcam has some compatibility issue with Zoom, the picture quality is not great in Zoom, somehow it's blotchy, but in Skype and Windows Camera the picture quality is good, if there is enough light. My below original comments about picture quality not being great were based on picture quality in Zoom in full screen. As a workaround, I could use it with Zoom through OBS + VirtualCam plugin, then picture looks good in Zoom when you select OBS-Camera instead of UVC Camera. (additionally I am using OBS to crop sides of the picture as well to hide unwanted stuff.)The camera has some nice features such as 360° rotation, swivel adjustment, tripod mount which add to the usability and convenience. It also comes with a lens cover that you can use to close the camera lens when not required and be 100% sure that nobody can watch. Windows 10 detects and installs camera easily.The video from camera is smooth but picture quality is not that great. It is nowhere mentioned what is the native resolution of the camera apart from the instruction paper that came with camera where it is mentioned that capture size 640x480 or 800x600. Also, it does not have Auto Focus, it is fixed focus lens. Not particularly pleased by the fact that company is not revealing true technical specifications of the webcam. Also the ad says "Full HD Glass Lens" which is nonsense, lens has nothing to do with pixels or HD, it's the specs of the sensor electronics. The instruction paper that comes with camera mentions CMOS as COMS..However, due to covid 19 situation, many other branded webcams are either not available or selling at higher price. So this is still a good buy if you are ok with average picture quality. It should be fine for most scenarios, good lighting is recommended.I have made a personal video review also, if you wish you can see on youtube by searching CaseU HW-1 webcam.

Case U HW1 1080P Webcam with Microphone is an excellent product.The picture quality and video quality are very good.The Privacy Cover is a nice addition which can be used to cover the lens, when we are not using it, thus enhancing the privacy. The base is also having the mounting screw hole to mount it on a tripod stand. The design is also good and it is not requiring any additional software, when it is used with windows 10.I am extremely satisfied with the product.

The quality of webcam is not good. I wanted a decent enough webcam to attend meetings and interviews. I searched online and looked at some YouTube reviews about this. Finally, I decided to buy this at Rs.2137First time, I received another model (HW2) from the same company. I asked for a replacement, and finally I received it.The image quality of replacement was good but the microphone was picking up a lot of noise, and was extremely bad. It was worse than my laptop's inbuilt mic. Now, I think when we pay over Rs.2000 for a product (that is optional for a laptop), it must be better than my laptop's webcam. It sounds horrible and cannot be used even for basic conferencing use.So, I don't recommend this to anyone. Before buying I read reviews where people mentioned that delivery was not good, but still chose to buy since no one said that it had quality problems. I was wrong. There are issues with this device that need to be fixed.Also, I will add that I have returned it and got my refund.

*Edit: Update on seller response: As I posted this review, I got a call from the seller Case-U, the person was very polite and expressed regret over the Webcam not living up to the expectation. He assured the Webcam does have Autoficus feature, and maybe my piece was defective and offered to send a replacement. As per his advise, I returned the item through Amazon, however in Amazon, there was no option to ask for a replacement, but only to claim refund. Assuming the specific piece I received was indeed defective and the foucs issue will be solved, I am raising my review to 3 Stars. It was certainly good to see the supplier CaseU reaching out proactively to help a customer *The webcam of my otherwise stellar new Asus Laptop is terrible when it comes to picture quality. I bought the Case U 1080P webcam to addrerss the issue, but am disappointed to say the least. The overall webcam build quality is decent, packaging was good ( though generic Chinese product with no brand markings on the box oe webcam). Plug and Play with Windows 10, no issues there. However, the picture / video quality is very poor.1) Focus issues - There is no Autofocus ( or Autofocus does not work in the piece I got) - Picture is blurry, especially at the normal distance where your face will be with respect to the camera for a video call.2) Colours look blotched and far from real.3) Low dynamic range, blocky artifacts2) Fish eye effect (barrel distortion) around the edges of the picture.

I am criminal advocate from Delhi, need to virtual hearing in the courts. Amazon delivered before due date, 5* as the sound quality through mic is ok due to USB configuration otherwise I bought so many webcam from Amazon and returned back. It is found in other than this product that the separate mic lead causing noise and low sond , in this wencam not found any noise, video quality is very good.
