Didn’t rate it.
I threw mine away. It doesn’t pre-filter, it doesn’t sort colour, and it feels plasticky enough that I just don’t trust it.I’ve since bitten the bullet and actually invested in a proper setup (first need XL, gravity works, steripen) that will work anywhere in the world, and I’m very much feeling that the old maxim ‘buy cheap, buy twice’ is the order of the day here.It pumps quickly enough, but the whole feel of the product screams cheap and therefore perhaps less attention to detail, or a skimp on a corner where one day I might end up with a fail that costs me a holiday or worse.Perhaps I’m picky, but I would never have felt comfortable trusting to this, and it should be said you should never trust to a single method anyway.

Tried it for real
I was disappointed to read reviews saying they used this product to filter tap water...is that a good test.I used this product to filter water from an outdoor source when my camel pack leaked. The water has bugs and algae.Filter very quickly, I did add a silver chloride tablet as well admittedly. Made coffees and drank 2 litres with no bad taste or sickness.Tested. Good product, will be using on a 2 week expedition

This filter is amazeballs!!! Buy IT!!! NOW!!!
This is great. I don't bring any water on my treks if I now I will be passing by a freshwater source. I have this and two filter straws. I barely use them. I use this and fill up my water bags whenever I get the possibility. THe flow rate is great and the filtration is top notch. This is in my opinion an essential piece of kit if out in nature exploring unless you happen to be in the desert maybe.

Good choice
Used it a few times obviously wouldn't use it in clearly very dirty water, but scotland is known for it clear waterfalls and stuff. But I still tend to boil it over a campfire.

Pretty good
I used the miniwell during a two day wild camp in the Scottish mountains, water here is normally fine to drink straight from fast rivers. However, I wanted to be extra safe and filter any drinking/cooking water. The miniwell worked well, lightweight and packs down pretty small and easy to put together. The only problem I encountered was the seal on the large water pouch was fairly difficult to slide on.

Worked well on fresh flowing river water
The product worked well in fresh flowing river water as we navigated the river’s course from source to sea. No cases of diarrhoea to report!

Could potentially save your life
Small, lightweight easy to assemble. Fill up from the water source hang up or hold and let gravity do the work
