it was a much needed item. it was received with gratitude. And the receiver was very pleased with this product even though it was under the christmas tree until a few days ago. The receiver was very pleased in the beginning. but upon using .there are letters missing also " £ " signs. and it overheats quickly.

laptop worked for less than a week before the keyboard gave up. As it was a birthday gift, I was out of the return window. Avoid this product at all costs

Bought a few and they last a while..Also charger is difficult to buy and there is no upgradability inside apart from the SSD

Whilst the keyboard layout can be set to UK the key caps will still show the USA configuration (shift 3 = $ for example). No problem for touch typist who does not need to look at the keys.Also the MS Office programs included will work but are old enough not to be supported by Microsoft any more.

Love it better than I thought

The machine arrived today and seemed fine. However the keyboard is US layout which can be an issue when touch typing or using £ signs. The OS appears to be Windows Pro (not Home as advertised) and has no activation key. Using an un-activated copy of Windows causes problems with adding other family members into their own accounts.UPDATE: After 6 months Windows is demanding a license activation which you can't do without a PAK. DO NOT TOUCH THIS ITEM WITH THE PROVERBIAL BARGEPOLE, it is not as described and UNFIT FOR PURPOSE.

This product comes in an unbranded box and has no identifying branding visible whatsoever: Even the box has meaningless pigeon-English errors (What does "Wonderfull life gfere ought to be you" (sic) mean? Suggestions welcome). The product information leaflet is almost indecipherable and includes a warning that the product might overheat! (in apparently normal use).The keyboard is American layout and has no numeric pad. The Windows version provided is not "Home" and icons are not those of any standard "Windows" product I have seen. They are not "Professional" either, as I run that on my desktop. I have yet to try updating (if I bother) so whether it is recognised by MS at all I do not know.Overall the product seems to have questionable manufacturing credentials (although box and leaflet show all the required internationals safety logos) and the warning of overheating gives me severe concern regarding safety. The leaflet states "Made in China" but I believe, given Chinese thoroughness in most product-presentation, that any reputable company would have at least one employee able to speak and translate meaningful English for its leaflets and packing box!.I have therefore decided that this machine will become "No 2 backup" and will not be relied upon for normal use. I would return it, but have no obvious complaint (i.e. it hasn't ACTUALLY burst into flames or been shown to be running a "rip-off" copy of Word or Excel, the cost and inconvenience of doing so are prohibitive and I might get no refund anyway... So I will put this down as a pricey learning-experience, rather than a cost-saving exercise in seeking out a bargain. But to others, I suggest it is one to leave on the shelf......

Volume, battery and the camera is quite bad. But other than that, it’s a well functioning laptop.
