Works perfect for the RODE PodMic
Perfect Pop filter alternative for my RODE PodMic. Like the other reviewers posted the item comes vacuum sealed and needs to be rinsed out so the foam goes back to shape. You can hit it with a blow dryer from a distance after you soak it if you don't want to wait too long. After I hit it with the blow dryer, I still let it sit for a couple hours, and it fit just right.

A great fit and good quality!
So far these are doing the job exactly the way I wanted it to. A lot of people have mentioned that there are creases in the foam when getting them in the mail. This of course happens because the packages are somewhat vacuum sealed. But there is a way to fix this problem. Once you take them out dip them into some lukewarm water for about a minute and make sure they get very saturated. This will help expand the foam and get rid of the creases. It will also take it on its natural shape. Then simply ring out the water and allow them to dry. As you can see in the photo they come out looking exactly as they should. Would definitely recommend.

If you're willing to sacrifice aesthetics, this is worth it
Pros: -Snug fit -Eliminates plosives should you speak directly to the mic up close -This actually helps you use proximity effect to compensate for the PodMic's weak bass w/o worrying about plosives Cons: -This thing is big and not slim profile -Makes an aesthetically pleasing looking mic look like a black colored cotton swab -I had to throw this in the dryer to get all the folds and creases to go away Conclusion: The Rode PodMic is one of the prettiest looking mics in the market with one drawback - a poor internal pop filter. Since the mic is on the camera view most of the time during my work, the windshield pretty much covers a third of my face (it's THAT big, the pics that the seller provides is a bit misleading). I might as well just use a small cheap pop filter. The problem with said pop filters is that I'm constantly fiddling with it to be in the right position. That's where a windscreen has an advantage. It's on the mic and that's it. On the flipside, this cheap windscreen does improve this mic's audio capturing quality at the expense of aesthetics.

Really good at rejecting plosives
It comes vacuum sealed and it takes a few hours to puff back up, but it never fully regains its neat shape. I bought two of these and both of them come with a noticeable crease near the tip, and it's been a few days now and it's still dented in that area. It's not a huge deal, and I don't have a video component to my work, so I can't complain. I thought of giving it four stars, but that seems harsh to me considering it does a really good job at rejecting plosives. I use it on my Procaster, and even if I shout "please bring pizza pronto," I don't get many plosives at all.

No discernible difference
This review is going off the claim everywhere that this cover will turn your mic into a Shure SM7B, which is not true at all. It does nothing to block out room noise, hum, and background sounds (a claim on the product page here). It probably works well for plosives, but unless you're doing some intense audio narration, it's not much of a problem with the standalone PodMic. I put 3 stars for doing what is probably expected of a cover/filter, but took 2 away for not meeting the claims. I'd say save your money. If you have a problem with ambient noise/echo, get some acoustic foam and if you haven't already, a cloudlifter or fethead. That'll make a world of a difference.
