Amazing! I cried, a lot!
I was First drawn to Natasha Lester when I saw “The Paris Orphan” because the cover was so beautiful! I read It a year after I purchased it, and I fell in love immediately! I moved Onto “the Paris Seamstress,” and then, “The Paris Secret!” OH MY GOSH!!!! I read All the 3 book in less then 3 months!!I never cry while reading books, but I cried during “the Paris Secret” SEVERAL times! And it’s definitely my favorite of all three books! The character development is amazing, and you grow pretty attached to the storylines! Reading any of one of these books by Natasha Lester is like reading, watching a train wreck. You know something terrible and tragic is going to happen because she tells you through one storyline, but you have to wait for it to happen. And you just can’t get away from it!Just a warning, there is gruesome info about a women’s concentration camp, and Lester is very good at making everything so real, so it’s hard to read at times. But I really appreciate her diving into the women’s part in the war, and then this concentration camp that I haven’t even Heard about til now.

Not worth the time
This book had such potential which, in my mind, it didn't live up to. The history of WWII women pilots & their work in the Resistance is an amazing subject, so compelling & would that the story telling did it justice. The writing style was mundane, it seemed hurriedly & carelessly written. Sentences were awkward &didn't scan grammatically. Because it was such compelling history, I forged through till the end. Though I do enjoy a good interwoven romance story, the love relationships described in this book were trite & cliched. I do not reccomend slogging thru this latest book! However, I do recommend Natasha Lester's Paris Seamstress, about the Nazi Occupation of France. It has more depth of character & just a better written book over all.

Highly recommend!
Well researched, covering WWII women who risked all for freedom. A heart rendering love story. I didn't want to wait on a library book and pre-purchased it, based on Natasha Lester's other books. Before you start this, be sure you have plenty of time to read. Hard to put down!

Who is Margaux Jourdan?
Natasha Lester creates a mystery and the most believable characters in this historical fiction. These brave women and men are a tribute to the real airmen and women of WWII. The poignant love story of Skye and Nicholas will be one not easily forgotten. Also the mystery of the Dior dresses gives a glimpse into the history of fashion. Wishing more of Lester’s novels were available on Kindle!

10 STARS one of the most powerful book I have read in years
(To be fair, I knew nothing of the author or her other books.) WOW, when I saw the Dior part in the blurb, I thought it was a light, fluff book, good for a few days of summer reading. Nothing could be further from the truth. This historical fiction was SO well researched. And the moving from WW2 to present day was handled beautifully. I learned more about the women aviators then I knew there was to learn. The characters were beautifully rendered and there were "I didn't see that coming" moments that added to the suspense and enjoyment.

Historic Fiction exceptionally well done
There are many characters and the book moves between the 1940s and the 2010s.As it began, I was a bit overwhelmed with so many characters and using the decades to tell the full story . What I wish I had done was to make a list of the names Margaux shares while modeling the bridal gown for Dior.I chose this book for its mention of Dior in the description. I was not disappointed as it held a key to the story. I learned a bit of the background story on Catherine (Caro) Dior and her work with the French Resistance. Fascinating.Relationships while some tenuous, others demonstrating the strength of friendship in the worst possible moments and love lost.Several times I thought I had solved the mystery but not and I always enjoy when that happens. It was a GOOD book and I recommend.Following the end of the book, the author provides notes from her research relating to the war, French Resistance and of course Dior which I found as fascinating as I did the story.I have added another of the authors books to my list.

A Great Book you have to read
First let me say what a great book. I could not put it down. The plot centers mainly on the people who work with the Resistance in France during the Nazi invasion. This book has love, betrayal, mystery, heartache, and twists you will never see coming.I do want to warn you if you are thinking about reading this book, that the first few chapters will seem boring and you may want to stop reading it but believe me when I say keep going!!!!! Those first few chapters are setting you up for the storyline that will be riveting. This book IMHO is right up there with The Nightingale by Hannah or Dragonfly by Meacham or A Fire Sparkling by Maclean. One of the best books I've ever read.

Beautiful book, a must read
Just finished reading this amazing book! So much history in it too and facts about Dior I never knew. It’s a must read and also we must never forget what our brave girls did in the war alongside the men. Loved the way it went from present day back to war times, kept me guessing till the end. I will always think of Caroline Dior when I see her perfume, a very brave lady x
