Really happy with this lantern. The design is lovely, it looks great on the brick wall, and the materials feel high quality.Looking at some of the lower-rated reviews, I can see why people get frustrated because I almost made the exact same mistakes! Firstly, you do not need to unscrew the three plastic holders/washers to get the clear shade off. It simply twists and unlocks effortlessly. I noticed afterwards that the seller does actually mention this in the Q&A section of the listing, but it's very easily missed. The manufacturer could save everyone a lot of hassle by putting a simple "twist to open" sticker directly on the product. I’ve attached a few photos (the ones with the blue gloves) to show how easy it is.Secondly, a few reviews mention a "broken" hole at the bottom of the clear shade and question the IP44 waterproof rating. This hole is absolutely intentional. It acts as a drainage hole so that if any condensation, water, or dead insects ever make their way inside, they can easily drop out rather than pooling at the bottom.The only genuinely tricky part is the mounting. The rubber gaskets and the two dome nuts are there to ensure no water gets in, which is great. However, when you push the light onto the wall bracket, the bolts tend to push backwards, making it nearly impossible to catch the thread with the nuts.My practical tip: Put a piece of tape over the back of the bolts on the wall bracket to hold them firmly in place. Push the lantern on, tighten the nuts easily.Overall, a solid and beautiful light once you know these little quirks. Highly recommended!

Really pleased with these lights I used the bulbs Amazon recommended they look really good lit up and nice and bright for night time the electrician admired them and was impressed with the price I paid

This is a great looking, well made lantern.It has a hole in the polycarbonate 'bowl' to let out any moisture, which is better than totally enclosed designs where condensation/moisture ingress always seems to be a problem. When fitting the bowl, the hole can be positioned towards the wall side, if you are worried that it spoils its appearance (I don't think it does).The body is aluminium (maybe black-anodised) so it remains to be seen if this will eventually corrode in our seaside atmosphere.The body is attached to the back-plate using a combination of: captive bolt > nylon washer > dome head screwI don't like this arrangement, as its 'fiddly' to assemble and would prefer: captive nut > nylon washer > hex head boltHowever, many modern lights seem to have the same assembly method as this lantern.We are running ours with a 3 Watt L.E.D. bulb, which is plenty bright enough to light up our car in front of the garage.Note: Its not too difficult to fit this lantern, but remember that although this work is legally permitted by a home owner in the UK, you must be competent & have an understanding of electrics & electrical safety, & you will be responsible for any injury caused by your installation to others. If in doubt, use the services of a qualified electrician.

Absolutely lovely. You need to buy a bulb separately we ordered a clear glass one to suit the look. Easy to fit.

Ne ho acquistate 3 e posizionate in un terrazzo alto completamente esposto alle intemperie. Impermeabili, resistenti ai continui raggi del sole e di materiale solido. Le consiglio vivamente!
