Aquamana 165W COB LED Full Spectrum & Blue Moonlights Aquarium Light Panel Hoods with Two 78W COB Modules and Three 3W Blue Moonlight for Coral, Reef & Fish (Full Spectrum)

I received and installed it right away. I have a freshwater planted 50 gallon tank. This light is amazing and I love the fact I am able to tune the light for my particular needs.When I first turned it on there was a distinct hum emanating from one of the cooling fans. Sure enough a week later that fan went kaput. I emailed the vendor asking for a replacement fan. I wasn't looking for a new light, just to fix the one I had. They insisted on sending me a new light. They also let me keep the defective one until the new one arrived. That kind of customer service rocks!The new light is just as great as the old one. My plants have exploded with new growth with this light. The light spill into the tank is perfect as well, side to side even coverage. The blue moon lights are nice and are focused more to the center of the tank. It's a nice look at night.I know this type of lighting is associated with saltwater setups. Being able to tune down the blue hues makes it a genuine full spectrum freshwater light as well. Maybe if I convert this tank to saltwater at a later date I will just turn up the blue actinic knob and bang, done.I am ordering another for my 30 gallon freshwater tank as well. My 200.00 led lights on it pale in comparison to this light fixture.

This is a fantastic light. Everything in the tank is popping! The lights are so powerful that I noticed some algae bloom not too long afer setting up the lights but have cleaned it out since. Using this on my 40 gallon tank and it's working better than expected. Great product for the price.

Good over all light, To bad its discontinued!

Had this light for less than 6 month.. channel stopped working and fans quit.. great light until this happened..guess it does not matter that led last longer if the driver dies..

So far I'm in love with this light blue could be brighter for my taste ..using over my frag tank working great so far www.humblekoi.com

Almost perfect just needed a third cord to control red, green, blue channel (on same cord that controls white channel), yes you can manually have that channel come on off but would have been nicer to remove both rockers that don't offer anything the dimmers don't already do and put that 3rd cable instead.Other reviews said moonlights look purple mine look like something in between a blacklight and royal blue Led (looks very nice makes corals pop).Also compared to older Aquamana the optics are wider and more uniform (better for shallower tanks)

I had 2 of the old full spectrum LED units from Aquamana and the difference is day and night with these.I have a 125 Gallon aquarium and I had to remove the lenses off the old units to get a complete spread. With these new units. No mods.My tank is a mixture of lps. Sps. And more.Here's how this unit works for the common reefer:-Moonlights run independently on one switch. More purple than blue but they make corals pop.-Blues are combined with red green and uv on one switch.-Whites are combined on one switch.-3 fans. Super quiet.So far these look amazing over my tank. I can compare them close to kessils, especially the shimmer. If you're looking to upgrade from your old boxes, this is what you need.

I write this review after installed this AQUAMANA 165W LED for about 2 weeks.It basically is able to replace my old 175w metal halide plus moon light for my 50 gallon reef only tank.Excellent shimmer because the COB LEDs generates the light from two single source.The light in my tank is about as bright as a single 10000k 175w metal halide if you turn on the power to maximum.It will fully cover 24" width 24" depth. My tank is 36" width and the both sides rest still have light for about 60% covered.The moon light is in great purple color.Conclusion: highly recommended. Much better than most of the other 150w LED on the market less than $250 dollars.
