DV8 Billet 6-Speed Manual Knob for Jeep Wrangler JK 2011-2018 Tire Tread

I bought this and the 4WD shift knob too. They both look really cool and feel good to the hand. Easy install. Original knob just pulls off. This one has a set screw under the rubber surround on the knob. Gently lift rubber band off the knob and tighten up the set screw with a hex key. Too easy. Great add on.

Good fit easy install and a nice addition

I trimmed this down and bored the inside so I could fit it in my 1979 CJ5 T15 transmission lever. Works and looks great. I like having the set screws on the top. I wish DV8 made more CJ stuff.

I've had a rattle in my manual stick shift for years.. Pretty much since I first bought my '17 Rubicon. I assumed the rattle problem was coming from where the shifter goes into the gear box/transmission but my husband suggested that it might actually be coming from the knob itself. Turns out he was right! The rattle is completely gone! The knob itself is very highly quality. It's solid and I haven't had any problems with it at all. The rubber tire tread on the outside is firm and grips good in my hand. It looks just as good, if not better, than it does in the pictures. Glad I bought this... well worth the money!

This is a nice alternative to the OEM shift knob. However, it would've been nice to have installation instructions. I had to contact DV8 to find out the Allen screw under the rubber tread around it. It is well-constructed and looks better than stock.

Love this new shifter. It’s heavy, looks great, and comfortable to use. The hardest part of this installation will be removing your stock shifter. That was NOT fun, but that has nothing to do with this product so obviously I’m not docking any stars for that. Just be warned that it’s a challenge. There are several videos on YouTube that can help you out. Once you have your stock shifter off, this glides right on and you can orient the numbers to whatever angle you prefer. I have mine slightly offset so that it’s aligned with the driver’s view when looking down and to the right at the shifter. My only complaint is that the packaging fails to mention that you need to remove the “tire” on the shifter in order to access a small hex screw so that you can tighten the knob against the shaft of the shifter. Looks and feels amazing. While installing the set screw easily stripped. I might’ve over tightened but the knob was still very loose.

I love the look of this shifter knob. Its grippy and easy to install. The major downfall for me is that I have a 2009 four door wrangler and when I went to change over the knob, the inside doesn't fit with the stick. What I mean is the end of my gear stick is narrow and fits something like a rectangular shape, like there should be a slot it fits into inside the knob. Unfortunately the knob is just empty on the inside and therefore the stick doesn't fit snuggly into it but rather vibrates around it. Maybe I did something wrong, I have no idea but there were no instructions or extra anything in the package.
