Bought as a gift, they were delighted, good value

I can't eat these because of diabetes but I have my eye on the jar when my husband has polished them off as I will happily re-use it for storage and organisation in my kitchen. I love a good storage jar and when I think how much a nice jar can cost I think this is a good purchase to get nice sweets and a jar into the bargain.I would have preferred a glass jar but I will keep the plastic one long enough to make it less damaging to the environment and a lighter jar means less energy expended transporting the product so swings and roundabouts...My husband wasn't sure at first about the taste of these but then they grew on him. To the point I have had to hide the jar away and I am now rationing the sweets as 'rewards' and treats so he doesn't just eat them all and end with diabetes like me!!!I will probably get more from this sweet manufacturer but they will be very occasional treats as they come at a cost to the environment and health as well as monetarily - so not a casual purchase for us.In an ideal world they would be vegan, in glass, and made with erythritol or sucralose and then I could have them too. But they are nice.

As children, We remember those flavours that bring memories back, Just by briefly tasting them again. These morish heart throbs have that tasty strawberry gummy flavour that i remember so vividly. The white part is chewy yet chalky, Just as it should be. The texture is on point and it’s quite easy on the wallet with an affordable price.However, Since these are so morish and cheap to buy, it's going to be hard for me to put down the tub. I know moderation is key, But these are full flavoured and quite addictive. I would definitely recommend these for avid fans of heart throbs, And these would also make lovely gifts for those with 'old school' sweet tooth's.

This is a nicely packaged gift shaped a bit like a mini version of a classic sweet shop jar and packaged traditionally with "olde worlde" colours, patterns and fonts. It's actually made in the UK which is something on a novelty these days, especially on Amazon.The heart throbs are sweet and chewy and the sort of sweets that kids love. They certainly didn't last my daughter long.I like the packaging and it seems a more substantial gift than a packet of sweets. My daughter kept the jar as well to keep art materials in.

They taste just like the ones you get in the Haribo starmix packets, half strawberry jelly and half mallow.They do work out more expensive than buying them in a packet but it’s nice to get something that’s packaged differently when giving them as a gift and this is a reminder of the jars from an old fashioned sweet shop.Thoroughly yummy and difficult not to just keep grabbing handfuls from the jar once they’re opened.A couple of different varieties wrapped up for Christmas will make a welcome gift.Hope you found my review helpful

Berryman's Original Heart Throbs Jelly Foam Gums are amazing and every bit as good as the Haribo version, although pound for pound slightly more expensive.I love that they are made using real fruit juice, although bizarrely no strawberries. That being said, they do have a distinctive 'strawberry' taste and an excellent consistency, with a perfect combination of chewy gum and soft mallow.I also like that these are made in Lancashire and packaged in a traditional-looking [albeit plastic] sweet shop jar, which makes me feel very nostalgic!

It’s wonderful to find some traditional sweets in an old fashioned looking container. It is sure to take family members back to the days of buying a quarter of sweets with their pocket money.This tub will make a lovely gift for younger or older members of the family. Anyone who enjoys jelly sweets will be delighted to receive them.I’m impressed by the design as it really looks like something you would buy in an olde world sweet shop.

Not the cheapest when you consider the cost of "the well known brand" but they smell gorgeous when you open the jar. The jar is plastic with a screw top lid, mimicking the historic sweet jar of local shops in days gone by.Ingredients all appear natural but as others have noted, contains gelatine.I couldn't find much about this company. According to the label they were established in 1920 but apart from that, very scant information. Could be a marketing trick.All in all, the sweets are nice, slightly tougher compared to the well-known brand but very moreish.
