Great budget friendly sketchbook for beginners and professionals
After hearing a lot of Reviews for these sketchbooks I bought one, and later bought 5 more haha. They’re super nice if you like experimenting with different media, they can handle watercolour pretty well despite the creamy colours of the paper(which I feel is easy on the eyes and you can see white pens well), other media as well like line art pens, acrylic paint pens, paint etc. I havent tested alcohol markers yet but I feel like it would bleed a tiny bit but no issue, you can just cover it with an another illustration on the back with acrylic markers. The pages are creamy in colour and smooth, they aren’t thin but not thick either but no matter, they handle media well. The cover Is harder and flexible, the pages are well sown together so they shouldn’t fall out easily. They open flat so you can easily draw a double page spread. I love how there are so many sizes, big ones and tiny ones you can put in your pocket for travel :). Overall it’s a nice budget friendly sketchbook that is good for artists who want to try something new, I overall recommend.

Really pleasantly surprised. Great quality.
I was really pleasantly surprised with this sketchbook. For the price it far surpassed my expectations. Paper: The paper is off-white and extremely thick. I have done pieces creating multiple media type (namely, watercolours, ink, and alcohol based markers)on the paper, with absolutely no bleeding. The paper is thick, meaning the sketchbook itself appears like it has sat more than 80 sheets. It is smooth textured like printer paper, not like watercolour or typical textured paper found in many sketchbooks. This makes it an excellent choice for alcohol markers particularly if you do this kind of art. I really saturated the page with black alcohol marker and it was just visible in some areas on the other side, with absolutely no bleeding through to the page behind. That’s very rare for this price range I find. Colour: the colour is vibrant and as shown. Cover: The hardback cover is extremely sturdy but not heavy, meaning this sketchbook is very lightweight but its contents are well protected. With a lot of pressure there’s some fleecy to it, a bit like a hardback moleskine. The cover is smooth and I’m not sure if it’s leather or not, but itr feels nicely made. It’s not as dense and heavy as some sketchbooks can be which might make it feel a bit less sturdy, but I think that makes it much more convenient to have on the go or in your bag without feeling like you need to lose the extra weight. Quality: the binding is functional and holds well. The elastic strap around the front is a common but useful feature. It’s sturdy, vividly coloured, and looks far more expensive than it is. The paper is very thick and the off white colour gives it a high quality look and feel. A really good gift or treat, but the off white colour should obviously be taken into account depending on what media you use and whether the lack of a white background will alter the appearance of what you want to achieve. To summarise I think it’s really clear I’d recommend this product. It’s great not just for the price point, but in general. It would make an excellent gift for anyone interested in art, doodling, or even as a plain notebook. It would also be great for kids due to how thick the paper is and how much it can hold, and the bright coloured cover. I bought another in a larger size as I liked this that much. It has outperformed far more expensive sketchbooks I’ve owned previously. Finding sketchbooks that make me enjoy creating art and make it easy to just grab something and create (without having to grab stuff to protect the page behind or use a specific type of paint or drawing material) is awesome. In hospital needed something to do. Creating helps me… escape.

Well made sketchbook with smooth paper
This is a sturdy little book that carries well with its rounded corners and wipeable cover. The paper is smooth like Hot Pressed and off white cream coloured. The pages have rounded corners too. It’s stitch bound in signatures and opens completely flat (after the outer lining papers which are glued to the first and last signatures). Ideal for ink without bleed-through, I’ve used fountain pen, fine liner and brush pen happily. Watercolour is a bit marginal -the 140gsm paper holds the water on the surface for a while (no texture and I’m guessing surface sized) and buckles quite easily. Once wet, the paper is very fragile and prone to scuffing if overbrushed. That said, at this size (12x12cm) it’s still useable for line and wash if you don’t go overboard with the water. At the price it’s an ideal book for quick sketches and it can tolerate light watercolour washes, wherever those fit into your practice -even if it’s just to get you into a daily sketching habit. Good but...
Lovely sketchbook for coloured pencils, fine liners and journalling. In my opinion, it's not suitable for watercolour as the paper warps easily and sometimes shows through to the other side of the paper. Go for 200gsm+ if you're after a watercolour sketchbook. This paper is creamy and not white which I like, gives my pages more depth and it takes polychromos pencils so well. I have only removed a star because I just don't find it suitable for watercolour but the descriptions states it is.

Perfect all-rounder
I love these sketchbooks, I've finished a few now. I love the choices of colour and size. Because they are on the cheaper end, I feel less scared to make "mistakes" in them. The paper is a good all-rounder, I use all mediums in it. Curls a bit at the edges when using gouache but I just clip the edges down. If you're using alcohol based markers, there will be a lot of bleed through so bare that in mind - I get round this by using acrylic pens on the bleed through or gluing in coloured paper. I definitely wouldn't be put off by these, it's my favourite sketchbook by far! Others Ive had that have thicker paper, don't have as many pages & cost a lot more. This is perfect!

lovely little sketch book, nice quality smooth paper works for posca pens
These are my favourite little sketch books, the paper is very smooth and thin but good quality. They work well to use with posca pens with very little bleed through. lots of pages, great for travel to slot in a pocket or a small bag. The cover on mine is still pristine even after being taken on a lot of journeys. It's really good value.

It's good
Great sketch book. Big and bright. Good quality paper. Haven't tried watercolour yet, but should be able to hold up to a little water. Paper is a bit yellow, but I'm ok with that

A Big Fan
I am a big fan of all sizes of the Talens Art Creations. Slightly beige paper, they can take all materials including water even though the pages get crunchy (great). The paper will not rip unless you really get into it. I love all sizes and shapes and colors. Great for everyday use all the time.
