WUSTHOF Gourmet Seven Piece Mobile Block Set, Black

I bought these for my bf who is a chef. I was so nervous to buy him knives because he is so anal about the knives he uses, but I needed some that I could use in the kitchen also. These have turned out to be a great set. They came beautifully packaged and they are wicked sharp. He was impressed with them! He uses them daily and the sleek black block fits in our kitchen perfectly without taking up too much space. If you are wondering whether or not you need scissors - you do! I find myself using them allllll the time. They are kind of the only thing in the set that I do use because the knives are too sharp for me haha Great set for the money and high quality knives. My bf uses Shun and said that he was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this set - highly recommend.

The knives are amazing. They make cutting and chopping such a pleasure. I've also noticed Gordon Ramsey uses them and I've seen them in lots of cooking videos. My one regret is getting the black block. I thought it would look sleek in black but right away when you don't get the knife in just right, it makes a mark on the wood block. That wouldn't be visible on a light colored natural wood. Also the block comes out further than I expected.

They are a nice looking set with just the knives we use frequently and no steak knives- which is a combo hard to find. The simpleBlack block is attractive. For an almost $200 set, the handles seem cheap and plasticky and the logo is just a sticker. I questioned that but continued to use them, and they are sharp and cut very well.Update- Now, These knives are about four months old and I’m seeing black pitting on the blade of one.Update- I sent it back to Wusthof for warranty repair for the pitting issue and they sent replacement

I love the knives but the block seems generic and does not comfortably hold the knives in place

These knives are sharper than Cambridge and very handsome. If the Santoku was a little bigger then this set would've been perfect for my cutting needs

Gorgeous and amazing knife set. These knives are so sharp and I use them every day. I was inspired to get this brand because my roommate had it and they are the best knifes around.

I can't believe what a good price these have!! I gave them to my mom for mother's day (yes, she wanted a knife set!) and she was in love. Very sharp and very high quality.
