Zhiyun Crane 3S Pro Kit [Official] Handheld 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer for DSLR Cinema Cameras and Camcorder (PRO Package)

I'm not a first time gimbal user. However...I am a first time Zhiyun gimbal user. I just received my 3S today, and what can I say? The setup was fairly straightforward. I would definitely suggest reading the instructions and watching a few YouTube instructional videos prior to attempting it, though, especially if you've never handled one of these before. The first thing I did was update the firmware. Hooked it up to my desktop and it updated flawlessly! Then I threw on my Canon Eos R and got it balanced. I especially like the locks on this unit. They make the balance and setup way easier than some other brands out there. Then I turned the unit on and put it through the paces. Up, down, all around. Fast movements, wide swings; I threw everything at it. I'm not gonna lie; at first I had some slight wobble from a few lower angles. Sat it down, fine tuned the balance and the wobbles disappeared, even with some pretty aggressive swings! So, my advice is to be patient and take your time on the initial set up! The phone app is a little tricky. I had some difficulty keeping the connection (however, this may be because of my phone....I'll have to do some more testing on that to see...). All in all I'm very impressed. I do want to say, however, that I'm most impressed with the customer service I received from Zhiyun. They checked in on me right out of the gate to make sure I was satisfied with the gimbal. This company went out of their way to make sure they had a satisfied customer. And they do. I'll say this.....I am now a Zhiyun guy! Between the sturdy equipment and the stellar customer service I'll be buying from them again! I'll update this review as I go...maybe throw on some videos of it in action, as well as keep you informed of the features as I check them out. But, I'm pretty confident I'm going to remain pretty satisfied!

Packaged well, lightning fast shipping, the product arrived with the instructions on how to set the gimbal up. I would definitely recommend setting a entire weekend aside to get comfortable with it. Setup for me took some time, getting my camera on it, balancing, and calibrating the gimbal. On top of charging all the battery and installing the accessories that comes with it. The amount of features and settings Zhiyun has put into this product is nothing short of amazing. The gimbal can without a doubt hold and support my entire rig on it! Smooth and beautiful shots! From the test run that I did get shots on. Being fit is a honest recommendation because my rig isn't light and putting it on a gimbal doesn't make it lighter. Zhiyun came through with this with affordability. Equipment used: SONY A7S III w 24-70mm G master, smallrig rhino cage w/ top handle and side grip. Saramonic shotgun mic, feel world 4k monitor, and VB155 V mount battery. That's some weight and long story short. This gimbal holds it with no problem.

Best in class in the market. The value that you get with what is included surpasses that of any of the other Chinese competitors such as DJI, Moza, etc. It's the only one can can handle the most payload of any types of camera gear and has the clearance from the back to keep the back of your gear from hitting. It's the only one you should get really. Especially if you do filmmaking full-time. If you do smaller stuff like weddings and events then go with the Crane 2s instead. It's smaller and easier to carry around.

I used the Crane for a 12 hr wedding job. I ran with a canon Mark ii with a Sigma 24-70 art lens. I rarely turned it off. If anything it was on standby for 10-15 minutes here and there. The battery lasted the whole time. The crane handled all the twist and turns I threw at it with no problem.

I usually don’t like to leave comments on the products I purchased on Amazon or any other e-commerce’s sites but I really hope buyers will see the post before they make their decision to purchase the Zhiyun crane 3s… the only reason I’m saying this is because unfortunately Zhiyun is not making the wireless receiver anymore therefore you will end up with only the wireless transmitter and the only way you can transmit the signal will be to your cell phone and tablets. I had been searching for the wireless receiver since I got the crane 3s and it seems like they’re not making it anymore. I tried on Amazon, B&H and even Zhiyun website and no luck… unless you don’t care using the wireless transmitter with your phone or tablets you will be technically force to buy the new system that Zhiyun is offering ( the new wireless transmitter AI and MasterEye visual controller which will pull back an extra $600 +) not what I was expecting after spending almost $1,000 for the crane 3s pro version. I wish Zhiyun would had mentioned on their website or their Amazon store that they’re not making the wireless receiver anymore. I wouldn’t have purchased the crane 3s pro version and instead I would’ve just got the entry level version and save me almost $400. Money that I could have used to purchase their new transmitter and receiver system since I already owned a wireless follow focus system and tons of v mounts batteries… I really hope Zhiyun will post on their website and Amazon store and B&H that they’re not longer making the wireless receiver….

So first off I have to say this is probably one of the best Gimbals in the market right now but you really need to get the pro version or at least the smart sling handle to get the full squeeze out of it, as having controls by your thub is far better than trying to slap the buttons on the side while operating because you cant really see them. Secondly it works solidly right out of the box for most cameras BUT you have to have a decently heavy camera rig. If you have too light of a package it over compensates and has micro jitters so you probably want at least something close to 6 - 7 pounds to put on it. Third if you happen to use an oddly shaped and wide camera that distributes its weight somewhat unevenly like the Black Magic 4k, then you cant use a full cage on it because it makes you extend the arm all the way out, and then the cameras already uneven weight throws it out of wack. To keep it tighter and create the center of balance you'll want to use a half cage if you use the BMPCC4k.

La capacità di sostenere 6,5kg da modo di montare dalle mirrorless alle camere piú grandi con facilità. Le varie modalità in tutti gli scenari consentono un lavoro fluido e pulito e le batterie difficilmente vengono sostituite per la loro grande durata. L'impugnatura con joystick e schermo Lcd consente collegando la camera al gimbal tramite Usb la possibilità di utilizzare il fuoco manuale senza l'uso di follow focus esterno , di variare diaframma e tempi di esposizione. Un ottimo prodotto robusto che riesce a soddisfare qualsiasi necessità.

Wow, amazing. It's lightweight and holds a DSLR without issues. Just started making shorts and this has definitely helped me create that smooth follow.

Ce stabilisateur est une révolution pour les amateurs de belles images. De part sa qualité de fabrication (matériaux très solides) et sa capacité de charge maximale (6,5kg!), vous avez la possibilité de monter presque n’importe quelle caméra, même avec une monture conséquente ! Et c’est cet argument, principalement, qui m’a convaincu d’acquérir le crane 3s pro. Le colis est bien emballé et livré avec de nombreux accessoires. Parmi eux, le système de transmission d’images (récepteur à part) de très bonne qualité et qui prend en charge le focus Assist. On apprécie également la possibilité d’alimenter le stabilisateur et les accessoires via la batterie V-lock fournit (avec 6 piles rechargeables qu’on peut mettre directement dans le stabilisateur pour éviter du poids supplémentaire). Les différents modes de stabilisation sont à la page quant aux différents stabilisateurs présents sur le marché (dont le mode vortex apprécié pour la réalisation de clips). Il est également possible d’adapter le crane 3s pro sur n’importe quelle machinerie externe (grue ou car mount dans mon cas) avec un simple pas de vis. Pas besoin d’acheter un kit externe d’adaptation. Notons que le stabilisateur est livré dans une mallette de transport très solide et pleine de rangement. Vous pouvez le ranger en version de base ou en version d’extension : pas besoin de démonter le bras pour les grosses caméras ! Enfin, j’aurai préféré peut-être des boutons de meilleurs qualité... mais ceux-ci sont fonctionnels et n’altèrent pas l’utilisation du stabilisateur. Si vous avez des questions, le service client est visiblement très disponible et vous conseille de manière détaillée. C’est plutôt rassurant ! Je penses que c’est un outil destiné aux professionnels / semi professionnels qui cherchent à élargir leur parc afin de proposer des contenus de qualité. Ce stabilisateur vous oblige à prendre votre temps lors du montage (équilibrage minutieux), ce qui est une bonne chose quand on aime le travail bien fait. Faites-vous plaisir, c’est un produit révolutionnaire !

Despues de ver muchas revius por YouTube de muchos modelos, he comprado el mejor de todos los tiempos, con una calidad de fabricación y diseño sin igual. Una ilusión cumplida para mi. Muy agradecido también con el vendedor Zhiyun Oficial y su servicio de atención al cliente por wassap muy rapido en contestar, y aprovecho en agradecer a Helen que fue la que me solucionó las dudas. Añado un año después. Dejó de funcionar el servo zoom, por conectar el cable con el estabilizador encendido. Y en contacto directo por watsaap con el servicio técnico Zhiyun, haciendo las pruebas y actualizaciones que ellos me pedían pudieron ver que la avería estaba en el servo. A los dos días tenía una caja que venía el senvo, goma dentada, varilla y accesorio de sujeción del servo a la varilla. Muy contento con Zhiyun.
