Great toy!
My 2 year old is always trying to play video games with his older brother so I thought this would be a great toy for him. He has played it a few times since Christmas and seems to enjoy it. I also bought the Cars game to go with it but it really wasnt necessary since it comes with so many games already. Overall, its a great toy.

great toy but for an older child
We live in a place where it is very cold most of the winter so I purchased this for my almost 2 year old thinking maybe she could play some of the games and burn off some energy however most of the games are a little to advanced for her. However this will be a great toy in a year or two! Right now my daughter just likes playing with the bopper:)

Makes learning Fun
Santa brought this for my 2 year old son and while he was a little overwhelmed with Christmas morning to fool with it much, it didn't take long for his favorite characters to lure him in when his big sister (4) started playing. He LOVES to play the Handy Manny game where he gets to jump on the colors. In fact, he jumps any and every time he's supposed to do anything. He plays the same game over and over again and it was nice that the challenges progressed and got harder, but it would also be nice for him to be able to go back and repeat some of the ones he liked the best (patterns are harder for him to do on his own - he did well with basic colors and sizes) It's good that it comes with so many of their favorite characters and 2 levels to each game. Some of the games are the same concept, so it's not quite as much variety, but it's still a good initial investment. I am excited and curious to see what the additional games will be - for their cost, will they be more advanced than what comes standard or will we be paying $20 for the same 2 basic types of games just with different characters? I like that you can input different names for different players, so the progress is tied to the player, but haven't figured out a way to easily get back to select/change names of who is playing, though, without just cutting the system off and back on. It would be nice to have a plug in rather than using up batteries (I do think they sell a separate adapter). Overall, a great, interactive and entertaining way to play and learn.

Fun for 3 year old
My 3 year old loves this. It is easy to hook up to your tv. Durable. Does take a lot of C batteries, but has on/off switch to save on the batteries. Got a great price with the lightning deals! Haven't tried the cartridge of additional games yet. He enjoys the 8 games that are preprogrammed.

A waste of time and money!!!
I am very disapointed with this toy! Not only is the life span worthless - I bought it for my son for Christmas and it is now a non-working paperweight (as of Jan 11) - but I even invested more money to buy the adapter thinking it would save me money on C batteries. I think the concept was good, but whoever engineered this toy needs to rethink their design. First, I don't know why it stopped working; second the graphics are poor; third, the games are either boring or don't have any learning value what so ever....I can't write enough about how upset I am with this toy. Good luck to whomever purchases this game.

Disappointed
My wife and I ordered the Zippity as a present for our 2-year-old and 4-year-old boys. We just recieved it and decided to try it out ourselves before giving it to our boys...and I have to say that we were both very disappointed with the technology. The pace of the games seemed very slow, and the games wouldn't respond to any quick action on the pad (such as fast stepping or hopping). As far as we could tell, the pad's IR transmitter would only send about 1 signal every second or so to the receiver, and there needed to be a pause between actions or else the game wouldn't recognize that we were doing anything on the pad. For example, if we hopped more than once per second on the same spot, the game would register the first hop but none of the subsequent ones...it seemed to think it was just one long hop. There are times when the game would ask us to "keep jumping faster!", but we really needed to jump *slowly* (at less than 1 jump per second) or else the game wouldn't know we were jmuping at all. Our 2 boys love to jump *fast*, so I don't see how they could enjoy following the slow pace of these games. I'm sure that our 2-year-old would enjoy seeing Mickey Mouse on the screen and not care about the pad's unresponsiveness, but it does bother me and my wife that the hardware isn't more sensitive/responsive...it makes the games not feel very interactive. And since it seems to be a hardware limitation, I doubt that additional/future games will be any more responsive than the included ones. So, unfortunately, right now we're planning to return this without ever giving it to our kids, and we need to find something else that thay may like instead. I wish that there was a more responive alternative that was also educational like the Zippity.

Too Easy
My daughter begged for a Zippity for her 4th birthday. I was concerned that it would not be much of a challenge for her given the age range suggested on the product, but went ahead and got it for her to try. I should have listened to myself...both levels are too easy, and because I bought it on Amazon I cannot return it. So, less than 2 weeks after my daughter's birthday it's packed away. I does have potential, but for a much younger crowd.

Kids absolutely loved playing with this leap frog
Kids absolutely loved playing with this leap frog. I think even with the reccommend age it might be a little more advanced and for kids a little older.
