Dead on arrival. How is the #1 selling flashlight on Amazon? The charger is a piece of garbage & looks like a five year old made it. The plug does not fit into the charger all the way. when you attempt to charge the Ultrafire battery the red led loses power and you cant even see it. Better off buying a toy flashlight. Returned.EDIT: After return Seller sent a coupon code for a replacement. One more shot before i go for an expensive American made Surefire or similar. Will edit when replacement received.2nd EDIT: Received the free replacement. The charger is working this time. After taking it apart and looking at all the pieces I can honestly say the only issue i have with it is the charger. It can not be made any cheaper but you get what you pay for. The end of the plug that goes into the charger base does not insert all the way. The charger base also doe not hold the battery well. The charger also has two lights, one on the plug and one on the base. The led on the base stays red and never turns green which can be confusing so only the led on the plug will change from red to green when the charge is complete. It is obvious that the plug & the charger base were not made for one another. FOR TWENTY BUCKS it does not get any better then this. 99% of the time you get what you pay for and that holds up here. If you already have a charger then go for it as the next step up is over sixty dollars.

I bought this in June and just knocked it off my nightstand last night then it fell into the trash today (soft fall) and when I picked it up I noticed that the protective glass was shatter so much that when I unscrewed the defensive cover to access the bulb. The glass fell out in pieces. Now I am a retired L.E.O. so I have carried flashlights for over 25 years starting of with the large mag lights then the tactical flashlights as I progressed up the ranks and duties. Plus I always carried a flashlight off duty. I have purchased numerous flashlights from Amazon in the past especially after retiring and I have NEVER had a flashlight from ANY company I have purchased from EVER had something like this happen. The flashlight recharges great but what does that matter if the SHTF something happens you drop your flashlight then the glass breaks & this is NOT safety glass either! It will cut you real quick.

Did not work. It was purchased as a birthday gift but by the time I opened it and found out it didn't work, the return window had closed. Not happy, the product seems cheap and the instructions are very poor.Since submitting this review, I've had response from Amazon agreeing to take the unit back however, they are only authorizing a partial refund since the price of the product has dropped since I purchased it.Also, the manufacturer has responded and offered to provide a free replacement unit, in hopes that I will try it and if it works as describe, modify my review. Given these two things, I added 1 star to my review.OK, the replacement came and it works fine. I had some trouble figuring out how to change through the various modes that were advertized, mainly because the instructions that came with the light were very poorly written. eyes is on the news right now there is a hurricane in the gulf and I am rounding up flashlights.. this would have been the first time I needed this flashlight for a real situation.. it has been in my house and used on a few occasions for looking out in the backyard for the dog and small things... now it is stuck in strobe light effect and there is no getting it out. it is pouring down rain outside and this flashlight has failed me at the worst of times. I tried charging the battery and the light is bright and everything but it is stuck in crazy strobe light mode and then it will turn itself off after about 10 seconds. considering this flashlight has been really well taken care of I Give It 2 thumbs down.

Not as bright, as I would expect. Battery says 4200 mAh but enough for 30 min or so - obviously fake one - there is even no manufacturer and country of origin on the battery. Light beam is not adjustable and looks like few rings around central circle. Can't securely insert battery into the charger - it doesn't stay there - I use rubber ring for secure attachment. If you buy a good battery then you still can use it - it technically works and switches between modes (not really convenient way of switching but nevertheless).

I love this flashlight. It has a center beam that is super bright and lights things up at least 100 yards away. But it also has a surrounding beam that lights your way without being blinding. It's great for taking the dogs to the park at night. I can keep track of them from far away without having to blind them.I also love the fact that it's rechargeable rather than using regular batteries. You know how most flashlights are pretty dim the second time you use them after changing the batteries? This flashlight seems to stay really bright for weeks. And it's really no big deal to stick the rechargeable battery in the charger now and again.I also like the fact that it is super sturdy and waterproof. This is a great possession.
