Anyone who has ever read the instruction " reduce by half" with dismay will appreciate this clever tool.

I reduce liquids like chicken stock, pan sauces, and fruit juices frequently. I used to use a chopstick with a rubber band wrapped around it to monitor the level of reduction, but this is much better. There are ridges every 1/2-inch up to 6 inches (note: the numbers are not white). It's the niftiest little tool.

Very useful item as reducing was always an estimated process. However I have ordered 2 of these, 1 as a gift, and they are not exactly as pictured. The markings are raised but not in color as shown, making it difficult to read at times. Not a dealbreaker but just something to consider for anyone thinking of purchasing.

I've used it a few times now. The markings are even, so that assures me that I'm reducing the volume to the correct amount. I am sure this will last me a long time, because it feels like it's made of a quality material that feels sturdy in my hands. Thank you for this ingenious invention, Rose!

After purchasing what I thought would be a very useful tool for determining the amount of reduction in my cooking, I am very disappointed. I purchased this back in January and have only used it maybe 3 times. That said, when I recently went to use it, I discovered that it was already falling apart. I have only used it as designed and have no idea why it would do this, other than it's either defective or poor quality. VERY disappointed and it's outside the return window. I have since read that others have had the same experience with the silicone splitting after a few months of use. I DO NOT recommend purchasing this.

Great product but numbers are the same color as the product.

In the photos, the numbers on the spatula appear in white which makes it easy to read. The actual spatula came in solid red which makes reading the numbers very difficult.

Ain't got no idea what this is or does, but SO was delighted and she does do wonders in the kitchen, so I guess it was a good Xmas gift.
