Rebranded Etymotic ER20 Plugs at a Great Price! Highly Recommended
These Hearos "High Fidelity" earplugs are really the popular Etymotic Research ER20 plugs rebranded in a different package. In fact, they are also the same as the Mack's brand "Hear Plugs High Fidelity" model (I own them all). For whatever reason, both of the rebranded versions cost less than the "Etymotic" branded ones despite being exactly the same, but I'm not complaining!Over the past year, I have tried more than a dozen different models of ear plugs claiming to be either "flat attenuation", "natural sounding" or "high fidelity" with some costing upwards of $50 per pair! Needless to say, these Etymotic/Mack's/Hearos plugs are hands-down the best plug for the price if you are looking for a true "high fidelity" ear plug that will reduce the volume of your surroundings an appreciable amount without causing voices and music to become overly softened, muddled or inaudible. In fact, there's nothing at 2x or even 3x the price that exceeds the performance of these plugs and many similar designs, such as the popular "Vader" plugs, simply fall short in real world use.The NRR (noise reduction rating) of these plugs is rated at just 12db, so I DO NOT recommend them for use in shooting sports or high noise work environments. However, for short-term use in moderately loud environments, such as busy restaurants, parties, music concerts and band practices, these are an exceptional choice! In reality, the effective noise reduction of these plugs is closer to 20db at some frequencies, but it's always best to err on the side of caution when it comes to your ears, so get a plug with a higher NRR rating if you are going to be exposed to loud noises for more than a couple hours at a time.My only complaint is that the stem on this design sticks out a bit farther than I would prefer. However, the clear color does help conceal it and this is only an aesthetic preference, not a functional one. In use, the longer stem makes the plugs easier to hold, fit and remove than some other styles, particularly the Planet Waves "Pacato" earplugs and HearDefenders-DF models. The triple-layer, mushroom-shaped baffle system is a classic design, but continues to offer the widest range of fitment and offers a good quality seal in most ears with average size canals. All in all, these are a high quality ear plug that deliver exactly what they say...high fidelity sound with solid protection!Highly recommended. If you found my review helpful, please tell Amazon by clicking the "YES" button below. Simple and Effective
Went to a metal concert and these helped SO MUCH! No after concert ringing in the ears, and felt very comfortable. The multisized tips make it easy to shove into any ear hole. Totally reduces volume but doesn't really distort the sound. The ear tips make a nice seal - full protection! It even comes with a little cheapo plastic case but hey - they weren't loose in my bag!

Good for mild Misophonia
I am misophonic. For the unfamiliar, this is literally a hatred of sound, and is essentially a form of ocd. For some, it's a general aversion to all sound. I would not recommend these for those individuals, as much sound can still be heard through them. For me (and I believe most misophonics), I have specific trigger sounds, such as a nearby coworker who rubs his hands together frequently, and an adjacent coworker who sets an empty cup down too hard, the sound of chewing or swallowing, and the sound of zippers. It's not their fault. For me, these sounds are not a minor distraction or annoyance, they're amplified to absurd and exaggerated levels, infiltrating my thoughts and causing great unrest, to the point that I want to react intensely, even violently, despite being an otherwise calm and easygoing person. It's weird. Anywho, I digress.I consider my misophonia mild (compared especially to those who opt for surgeries that deafen), and am pleased with the relief these provide. Even if I can still just barely hear it, the sound is muffled enough that I can focus on something else and typically get over it, but I can still hear someone come up behind me.Far preferred to cranking music up to unhealthy levels, I recommend these for anyone who can relate. However, I do still keep my earbuds nearby for times when the noise is too great, as these can only muffle so much. I've worn them for about 90 minutes straight without discomfort, but haven't gone longer than that, as I don't think having something in your ear for so long could be healthy, unless truly worn for protection, which I'm afraid I cannot speak to.

Works well to isolate high end frequency
My husband is a musician who has high end frequency hearing loss. Doctor told him he needed to isolate his ears from additional decibels. Other ear plugs closed off his hearing and he couldn’t follow the band. These are a real life saver. Small compact and come with 2 sizes to custom fit to his ear. They allow him to hear what is going on and still play music without further damage to his hearing or inner ear.A carrying case is supplied so he can place them back into for storage in his guitar case. They are always handy. They have multiple options from this manufacturer to accomodate for your specific needs. Allowing each individual to purchase the specific item for their needs. We have recommended these to other musicians in our area and they have all purchased them. I can’t brag on these enough. After 40 years of playing my husband and his friends have had some seriously LOUD events. I am happy that we found something to save what’s left of their hearing.Pros:Allows you to still hearBlocks high end frequencyLight weightCustom fitCarry caseConvenientCons:Haven’t found any yetMaybe getting someone to actually try themThese also work well for large music events my daughter used them for a concert. No loud ringing in the ears the next day.Small would not recommend these for children under age of 10 due to possible choking hazard should they pull them out of their ears. For kids see my other review on theClearArmor 141001 Shooters Hearing. Thanks for reading

Was looking for less sound reduction
Nice earplugs, attenuates more sound than expected. Was hoping for something to just take the edge off loud noises, but these seem just as effective as foam ear plugs.

I've tried A LOT, these are the best!
For reference, I play guitar in loud bands and go to shows for loud music.I have so many different earplugs like I'm an addict looking for the right drugs.. you name 'em, I've most likely owned & tried them. Bought these just out of curiosity since I loved Hearos foams for sleeping, to my surprise these cheapo beats every single earplugs I have in terms of preserving EQ, easy application and comfort.. not even close. Others either altered high frequencies too much or just simply muffled it to the point that I had to tilt them from my earlobes so I can hear better music, which is counter intuitive.Ppl said these are a dupe of the ER20, nope.. these are better. The small blue flanges on the Etymotic are painful cos you have to REALLY push them all the way in, and you'll need to adjust every now and then from being shifted. This Hearos ones have a bit of larger flanges that will cover up my earlobes without even trying but soft and flexible enough to make them comfortable. It's the only ones that gives me the actual "same EQ but lowered volume" effects. The case is a joke as expected, but I can use one from the garbage Eargasm or Earasers for it.

Protect your hearing!!
Protect your hearing! I play guitar in a loud, fast oi punk band that practices for hours in a small space at high volumes. I started using these soon after joining the band, for practice and at our shows and it has made playing and watching other bands so much more enjoyable. Music is still loud, but not painful and we can still talk in between songs. I like them so much I bought them for my band mates. I’ve gone through lots of these, not because they don’t last, but because I lose them and I won’t play without them. I now keep a pair in every guitar case plus a few extras.

Confortável!
O produto cumpre bem a proposta de reduzir ruído nocivo, eu tenho hipersensibilidade e ao usar os plugs eu me sinto muito mais calmo, com ruído mental bem reduzido.

Levels external sound
This is better than expected. It actually levels external noise so it doesnt hurt your ears. Taken it to bar gigs and loud concerts
User
Low level of noise reduction and difficult to create a seal
Disappointing level of noise reduction, sounds are still too loud wearing these. Also unreliable in creating a seal, which is difficult, and the plugs don't function properly without
