it works great raking items into / or lifting into a large ...
This is one handy helper. it works great raking items into / or lifting into a large bin. I did have some trouble with raking directly into a yard waste bag. It ripped the bags (even with the cord tied around the top as illustrated. I still really like it, and use it all the time.

Beware hard to return
I like this but I got the large which is just a hassle to use, I recommend the small which they didn't have at the time. It is hard to get the leaves into the bag because it is so cumbersome and awkward. My husband hates it because he just thinks its a gadget. I think it shortens the amount of times you have to pick up the leaves to put them into the can so logically it makes sense, but get the small one. BEWARE that if you do get the large and decide you don't want it, it is 100% impossible to get it back in the box because they twist it. My husband is great at figuring things out and even he couldn't get it to go back so we could return it. I used it once and it looks pretty ratty already and all I did was use it on my deck.

So much easier than tarp, scoop or bags alone
I have a small lawn (new construction townhome in Seattle) but with 2 deciduous trees on the front, it doesn't mean I haven't got a lot of leaves. The small yard means I don't feel like paying for lawn service but then man, are the leaves a pain! And if u don't collect them, it kills the grass, especially in the rain. Tried bags and leaf scoops (too much bending); then plain tarp (too much running back and forth to the green barrel way in back). Then tried this (I actually got the large first but the small was much better for me!); used it with some plastic green reuseable lawn bags also from amazon and with a rake or blower it was great; collected and bagged in less than an hour! As others have said follow the instructions (ie put lawn bag on end with the extra bar and use the rope) and it will work. And if u want to use it like a tarp then lay it flat and use the hook to pick it up too. and stores much easier than yet another tool like a sweeper. Totally worth it!

better for trash cans
I found that the edges of the paper lawn bags would almost always tear when using this product and being able to pour the leaves (yard debris) into a standing bag is suspect at best. I did find that you could rake the leaves on to the Yard Loader and then scrape them into empty bag by hand fairly quickly. I think that if you combined this with some kind of a plastic guard that your yard bag fit over to reduce the risk of tearing, it would be close to perfect.

Very pleased with this purchase
I bought the smaller loader (because I'm only 5'4" and thought I'd have a problem handling the bigger one), but it's still plenty big. It makes yard work so much easier. I lay it flat on the ground, pile up a ton of leaves on it, and then put the loader right into a 39 gallon bag after (although 33 gallons would also work). When I pull it out, the bag is almost completely filled. I'm not sure why the advertisement shows somebody raking leaves into the loader when it's in the "taco" position (i.e. when the tie across the middle is attached and both sides are semi-upright) because that would require you to funnel the leaves into a relatively small opening that isn't flat on the ground. It's a lot easier and a lot faster to lay it flat and attach the tie across the middle after you've piled all the leaves on top.

It really does make bagging easier!
Every season I buy at least one new tool that claims to save labor raking leaves. Most of them are gimmicky, or not worth the money. That's not the case for this product. The worst part about raking up the leaves is having to bag them, and this really does save time and effort. I find that raking into onto the tarp with the bag attached doesn't work nearly as well as just raking them onto the tarp and then picking up the tarp by the handles and funneling it into an upright bag so you can pack down the leaves as they go in. It's not too bad with one person, but it's really efficient with two people using this method. Usually raking and bagging takes two people the better part of a day, but using this tarp it took just a few hours to manage 15 bags of leaves.

Durable
After three months of intermittent use, no problems with durability. This simple device makes the process of raking up leaves and tree debris much easier. It fits nicely into the round mouths of our various plastic trash cans.

I love this funnel
I love this funnel! We were able to fill up 24 50gallon bags bags in less than an hour with minimal effort. The way we use it is I load the leaves on the funnel and my wife holds the trash bag. I stick the funnel in the bag and shake it as I pull it out. One funnel will fill an entire 50 gallon trash bag. We spend more time opening the trash bags up and getting them ready to fill than we do filling them. We have over 70 mature trees on our property and this thing is a lifesaver. Definitely recommend it!!!
