The thing was well-built, but the fact that my DSLR camera's lens is slightly to the left of the body on the camera meant that the stabilizer was always drooping to the left. Had to return it and get another model that could compensate for the offset lens.

This is a really bad stabilizer. The upside down T shaped ones are much better. I'd even say handheld with practice is better than this (plus hands aren't $25.Cons:Ita biggest problem is the range you can move the hand-hold-pole. It moves only about 10 degrees.It doesn't counter motion in any way. It's just another thing to carry around that doesn't get you any better shots than your hands.ProsYou can melt the steel and do something exciting with it.

Doesn't work very well, but better than handheld. Pretty sure the company paid most of the other reviewers to give it such good reviews (in fact, their reviews say just that.) Would have sent it back honestly, but the return process is too time-consuming.

Even after getting it perfectly calibrated, this simply doesn't work. Once balanced it will hold center perfectly, AS LONG AS YOU'RE NOT MOVING. Moving from side to side the camera begins to spin from left to right or visa versa. When walking the camera jumps up and down worse than if I were just holding it. I tried it with several cameras, from a Nikon point n shoot, to my Canon 70D.

Large learning curve.

I love this thing, and ok it is no SteadiCam, but if you take the time to set it up as it is supposed to be, it will work just fine to help smooth out shots while walking or other light to medium movement. If you really need to run and have the camera glide along, it is going to cost a lot more than thirty dollars.

Don't find it to be very useful. Too much motion, just hold in your hands.

It's hard to stabilize the camera but works great when you can get it stabilized.
