Gamo Swarm Magnum 10X GEN3i Pellet Air Rifle Review
The Gamo Swarm Magnum is a Great Pellet Rifle .22cal, I purchased this rifle in August and it has performed very well.... However, I will save you some heart aches with fine tuning this rifle. The biggest issue I had with rifle was finding the pellets that this rifle prefers. In my opinion none of the GAMO pellets perform well when used them with this rife. They were not reliable and they were very inconsistence, also the GAMO Rocket AccuTex pellet is not a good option. I came across the Crossman Piranha 22cal 14.3gr 55mm, and this pellet seems like was made for this rifle, accuracy improved 100%. I could hit small targets at 85yds+ with great accuracy. However, the combination of these Pellets & Scope makes it incredibly accurate, which means a Great Day of shooting..

Great intro pellet gun
This rifle has been a good gun for plinking and varmit hunting. My only real complaint is the mag O-ring will wear out and fail to hold the pellets after a while. Nothing too major. It is also a bit harder for those who are a bit smaller in stature to cock the gun, but besides that the quietness of the shots and the impact with pointed rounds has been great and about the equivalent to a .22LR. The scope that comes with it doesn't sight in properly as the adjuster maximum is too low to get a perfect zero.

As advertised
It is fairly hard to cock your first couple times, after that you adjust or you don't. It is what I wanted when I ordered it. Powerful, accurate, fairly quiet with the right weight of pellet. No complaints.

You will get Popeyes arms
This is a good air gun for those who don’t want to drag around a tank and want to get small game. It did take me a while for shipment to come in but that is no knock against the gun as the issues where on the shipping side. After emptying a half of tin into so far I will say it a learning curve for a piston this strong. Also the cocking of the break barrel takes some umph! So take your time and pace yourself when shooting don’t think this is a 10 quick succession shots unless you are the Governator. But if you need to make a new hole in a rats head at 40 yards great bang for your buck.

Awesome Gun!
Alright, let’s talk about why the Gamo Swarm Magnum 10X GEN3i Inertia Fed .22 Caliber Break Barrel Air Rifle is hands-down one of the most awesome air rifles out there. If you’re into power, precision, and just flat-out fun, this beast delivers in spades. First off, the power—this thing slings .22 caliber pellets at up to 1,300 fps with alloy ammo. That’s serious knockdown force, perfect for small game like rabbits or squirrels, or just obliterating targets in your backyard. The IGT Mach 1 gas piston is the heart of it, a 33mm cylinder that pumps out consistent, jaw-dropping velocity with way less vibration than a traditional springer. Smoother shots, less fatigue, and you can leave it cocked without worrying about wear—try that with a lesser rifle. Then there’s the 10X GEN3i inertia-fed magazine. Ten shots without reloading? Yes, please. The system uses recoil to index the next pellet, so follow-up shots are lightning-fast and seamless. It’s like having a semi-auto feel in a break-barrel package—revolutionary stuff. Load it up, break the barrel, and you’re ready to rock again. No fumbling with single pellets in the cold or heat of the moment. Accuracy? Oh, it’s there. Pair it with the right pellets (Gamo Red Fires or some heavy hitters like H&N Barracudas), and you’re drilling tight groups at 25-50 yards. The two-stage adjustable CAT trigger lets you dial in the perfect pull—crisp, clean, and tailored to you. Add the included 3-9x40 scope, and you’re picking off targets with precision that’ll make your buddies jealous. And let’s not skip the Whisper Fusion tech—dual sound moderators make this one of the quietest in Gamo’s lineup. It’s not silent, but it’s stealthy enough to keep the neighbors from griping while you dispatch pests. The all-weather stock feels solid, with a grippy texture that’s built to handle whatever you throw at it. Cocking takes some muscle (41 lbs of effort), but that’s the trade-off for this kind of power. Once you get the hang of it, it’s a small price to pay for a rifle that hits this hard and shoots this well. Whether you’re hunting, plinking, or just showing off, the Gamo Swarm Magnum 10X GEN3i is a game-changer. Pure, unadulterated airgun awesomeness.

This ain’t your grandpa’s Red Ryder
First of all, wow. This rifle has phenomenal power. I’m new to the world of modern air rifles, and I was quite surprised by just how hard this rifle punches- and kicks for that matter. Not that it kicks as hard as even a .22 powder rifle, but I was still surprised to feel the recoil on my first few shots. So far, I have put 50 H&N Barracuda Hunter Extreme 18.52 grain hollow point pellets through the rifle, and I’ve got it pretty well sighted in. I didn’t want to use a bench since I won’t be using a bench in the real world, and it feels like the recoil might be adding some inconsistency into the equation. But then again, it’s still very accurate and I haven’t gotten it properly broken in yet, much less settled on the most accurate and consistent pellet type. The rifle is much louder than I expected, but I am not experienced enough with modern air rifles to make any determination or comparison as to how loud it “should” be. What I can say is that I bought this for eliminating pigeons in my back yard, and I went WAY overboard. I wanted something that will instantly and ethically dispatch a pigeon, and a well-placed shot with this will more than achieve that goal. But as I am in a neighborhood, this may actually be too much power and also be a bit too loud to just start plinking like I had expected. I feel a bit naive, and that I didn’t do adequate research for my specific purpose, but that should not take away from the quality or amazing-ness of this rifle. I’ve now read reviews of this thing taking out coyotes, and I do not doubt it one bit. Highly recommend for its intended purpose of hunting! Plinking pests in the back yard might warrant further consideration.

A great break barrel pellet gun.
This pellet rifle is wonderful, especially paired with the Gamo swarm 10x hollow point pellets. I'm hitting targets at 50y no problem. The scope is OK, but I've ordered me an upgrade. The cocking weight is quite stout, so that will be a drawback for some people. You might want to go ahead and clean the bore when you receive it, mine had some residue from factory testing. So far from my testing, I've had great accuracy from the Gamo swarm 10x pellets, and the Gamo match wadcutters. One pellet for plinking and target shooting, and one for hunting. I have to really push the match pellets into the magazine, but they chamber just fine. There may be some sharp edges in the molded stock seams, just take a sharp edge and trim it back. The rifle is quiet for the power it shoots at, but it definitely isn't silent. Be aware of that. All in all, great gun. Super fun to shoot, and worth every penny.

Auto loader defects
Decent gun & scope combo for unaliving varmits. Plenty of power to get the job done. The issue is the auto loader. The push rod assembly that loads the pellet into the barrel constantly pops out of its guide due to the cheap plastic pins. I might get one or two good loads, then it pops out again. I really wish Gamo would address this issue with a redesign too replace this crap.
