I have a miniature dachshund who is basically Houdini and can find his way out of anything, so I was a little skeptical when I bought this and still walked outside with him for awhile to be sure there was no way he could escape. It's been close to a month, and although he has tried to fit through the gate multiple times, he has been unsuccessful. I absolutely love this and would definitely recommend it! It's great not having to walk out and wait for him to do his business (which he is quite slow doing and has to find the perfect spot). After seeing pictures, I thought it was inflatable, and figured it wouldn't last, but it's not inflatable. It's hard to describe, but so far it has lasted even with my dog starting out biting it every time I put it on him and trying to stick his paws through it to get out. He is now used to it and actually gets excited when I put it on him. I know he doesn't look like he likes it in this picture, but that's because he hates cameras, he really does love it, I promise! hahaUPDATE: Jackson (the dachshund/yorkie mix) ended up getting out of the fence a couple of times recently, and Oscar's puppy bumper worked so well that we ended up getting Jackson one also! We absolutely love them!

This puppy bumper has worked out beautifully! My 'mini' (read runty) Jack Russell terrier had gone through the fence, the gate and both decks...she had chewed up 2 King FABRIC bumpers so I was desperate to find one that would work. She has a doggy door so it must be on at all times. So far this puppy bumper has done the job and doesn't soil at all..nor does the snow bother it. I'm a very happy puppy parent. I have now purchased another puppy bumper and it is smaller in circumference than the previous one. (My JRT got her 1st one caught in a fence and ripped the loops off) I'm not as happy with the second purchase as it's smaller and looks cheaper made than the first one.

As advertised, works great and keeps our little 8 lb dog in the yard and not escaping through the fence and she does not mind waring at all. Peace of mind for sure.

This bumper was just what we needed for our miniature dachshunds and our backyard even though it is fenced. When I found it in the water resistant version, I was excited to give it a try as the cloth version would get wet when they were out in the rain or digging in the mud. It works great!!

My recommendation is to make the area around the snap a little larger so be it will be easier to grasp when opening collar

Great in theory but huge for my 5lb chorkie. Put it on him and he froze. Totally refuses to move at all.

Omg! This is the best invention. My foster Yorkie doesn’t mind wearing it. He can’t sneak through the fence with this around his neck. It’s not too heavy. He can move and eat easily. Doesn’t mind hanging outside with it on. See pictures. Wipes clean easily.Also, update: Seller is very responsive. This is my second purchase. Wow, this just made my life a whole lot easier. I can let out our puppy go out and play with our other dog and she doesn't have to be on a leash every minute. Glad we bought the waterproof one, as it just wipes off and we are going into fall/winter weather. Can't do five stars yet because I don't know about the durability, but it looks well-made.

Fabulous and well worth the purchase I have several of these and with wrought iron fencing these prevent my tiny dog from escaping through - always under supervision. The rainy day collar is great for going out in the wet and snowy weather. I have been purchasing these collars for 12 to 13 years.
