So sorry, Kate--BEYOND AWFUL!
I like to say I'm a Kate Canterbary fan. I LOVED the Walsh series and a few of her other offerings. This one, however, was unreadable. I could not get through it...Zelda with the blue hair/doesn't know where she's living/notices a stranger reading HER resume/summer camper/math whiz???? What? Here's an idea--how about REAL people as main characters?Ash with the pleated pants/daddy issues/insta love with a stranger he meets on a plane who he takes into his home and calls "love" after a matter of hours???? What? Who are these people anyway?UGH--maybe it's me but even the "dirty talk monster sex" was a bore...

5++++++++ Stars! Amazing!
Have you ever had one of those books that you knew you'd like, but then you read it and it grabbed you, shook you, then wrapped you in a big hug and made you feel like you were not alone in your me-ishness? Or how about a book where you knew you'd like it but there was no way it would compare to (insert favorite hero/heroine/couple) but then you finished it and you just sat there because you think you just discovered your new favorite and your world is now all topsy turvy? Or how about a book that has you in such a book hangover that you can't pick up another book and/or you go back to keep rereading parts to soak in more of the goodness? Well….all of that is what this book did to me.This book is so much more than I could have ever imagined. Let's start with Ash…he is the grumpiest, growliest, most stubborn hero that I think I've read (yes even more than Patrick). Zelda has a way of not only putting him in his place with his grumpy ways, but she's able to get to the ooey-gooey center. Friends, that ooey-gooey center is the best! You will want to drown yourself in it.Zelda is a force in a way that you wouldn't expect. Her me-ishness and her story spoke to me on many levels. You will just want to wrap Zelda in a great big Mama Santillian hug, invite her to dinner or pedicures or anything really, and never let her leave. You want to be friends with her, not only for her to help fix your life but because you want to help fix hers.This is very much a character driven book. You will be so wrapped up in both of them that you won't want to leave. The banter between these two is amazing. I wish I had other words to describe it, but nothing seems to describe the amazingness of it. This book is smart, it's clever, it's raw and real, it hits you will all the feels, and it's beautifully written. Like with any Kate Canterbary book, you will finish it feeling smarter, and feeling like you just found new friends that are now a part of your life.This is a complete standalone. You do not need to have read any other book to thoroughly enjoy this one. Even if you haven't read any of the other KC books, you should. Wait…change that should to a MUST. She is one of the best authors in this genre. You'll thank me for it later.If I haven't sold you yet on getting this book…just trust me…GET THIS BOOK! This is one of those books that just 5 stars doesn't do it justice. It deserves 5 million stars.

Witty, amusing and two of my favorite characters!
When you read any Kate Canterbary book, it helps if you REALLY pay attention. I mean, did we ever think that when we got mentions of Magnolia being a triplet, with two brothers, Ash and Linden, that one of those brothers would make an impact enough to get his own story? Well, HELLO Ash and yes, while I may have read his name in The Magnolia Chronicles, I didn't see this man coming. I didn't pay attention really and that is absolutely MY bad in every way. As an accountant (I have to LOL here), I want to say that I have enough understanding of the "personality", but Ash surprised the heck out of me...and perhaps Zelda is to blame (or to thank as the case may be). Ash doesn't think much beyond the next billable 10 minute increment and Zelda? Well she's got issues of her own and something to prove...to herself. The collision of these two personalities is a journey into not only the unexpected, but also into the beauty of finding someone who lets you be who you are meant to be (something I am personally thankful in my husband). Zelda needs to find her wings, and Ash needs to let go. As always, some of the best, witty, amusing, scintillating banter for which Kate Canterbary is known for and some of the best characters you will fall in love with over and over.

He is most definitely a Boss in the bedsheets
This is the book you need without realizing you need it. It's raw, emotional, funny, witty, steamy, and heartwarming. Other than the guarantee of an HEA, it's romance, it has to have one; this doesn't fit the mold of your typical contemporary romance, and despite that, it works beautifully and I need more books like this. Ash, the deliciously selfish, grumpy hero, who literally is a boss in the bedsheets, and I'm completely on board for the whole package. Zelda, she's a different type of heroine, and my description of her could never do her justice, but know that she's fierce in all the best ways possible. You will love the main characters for their vulnerability and stubbornness and you'll love the story for the journey it takes you one. The author has always had a knack for witty banter and using advanced vocabulary that makes the reader walk away feeling more intelligent, and this book demonstrates those abilities at their highest levels. Ash and Zelda will take you on a new type of emotional roller coaster and leave you with a book hangover like you'll never believe.

Brilliant
As a new reader of Kate Canterbary, l am hooked. In the past week or so l have binged read most of her books, and seriously enjoyed them. They are lovely romantic stories, but she gives the characters such depth that they are completely 3D. The stories are based in and around Boston and Talbott’s Cove giving everything a small town feel. Also there are favourites wandering in and out of all the different tales and time lines giving even more layers to the books.This is Ash and Zelda’s story, a chance meeting on a plane, a connection felt at a cellular level and as Ash’s family soon notice and tell him often, “She’s not Millie!” They are so good for each other, giving so much supportive care and finally we get to see Magnolia and Rob tie the knot. I only have a couple or three books left to read, that a sad note to end on.

Must read!
When Ash's book was first announced last year I was desperate to read it and it was AMAZING! I was smiling straight away at Ash and his airport nightmare! He truly is a grumpy, grisly man but he loves hard......when "your not Millie"! From the moment Zelda and Ash first met you knew there would be fireworks between those too. Their banter was so good! I loved that Zelda held her own with Ash. There was one part in the book when Ash was even more swoon worthy than he already was that i just loved! As always with one of Kate's books the side characters are always top notch too and FYI I loved Diana! I'm now desperate for Linden's book!

Enjoyed this read
Have to say on first starting to react this book wasn't sure. Then like the airplane discussions it took off. Ash was a controller , Zelda was escaping and needed a job. These two both had issues but somehow they clicked. It was enjoyable their mindset along the way. Plus loved Ash's family.One thing about the read which did irritate and I confess I dont why but having Ash saying love at the end of sentences it just didn't seem to fit in.

Definitely one to reread time and time again
I kept seeing the facebook ad for this, and thinking it sounds good, I'll buy it some time. I'm so damn glad I did. It is many things. Firstly, it's bloody funny. I laughed a lot, because the humour is just perfect. Secondly, it's sweet, and beautiful and all the things you want from a romance!Finally, it's hot. Ash in bedroom mode is delicious... and Zelda is just one of those woman who sets him alight. Honestly, I wanted to be Zelda. Isn't that what a book is supposed to do? Read it. Trust me.

Loved it!
I knew to expect fireworks between Ash and Zelda. It was funny how they met on a plane and how he happens to have her resume. Somehow, he's managed to hire Zelda mid-flight. This was a kind of office romance. I loved her resignation letter.My favourite part was when Ash realises that when you love someone, you help them to follow their dreams.Fab sotry!
