I already have some juicing books and to me this book was no different than any of those. The book explains why green smoothies are good for you. My purpose in buying the book was to make healthier green smoothies and also to use them for a fasting tool. For me green smoothies are easier to make than making strictly juice, because the produce goes a lot farther. The book did not cover how it is possible to get the same benefits from green smoothies as you do from juice fasting. It is well known that in order to heal, your digestive system need to rest before the body can do healing functions. There's a lot of fiber in green smoothies but she claims that green smoothie fasting rests the digestive system. I would like for that to be true, but the body has to process the fiber, so how is it resting? I know that green smoothies do make me feel better but can I heal like I can with juice fasting? I also thought that she was going to discuss additions to smoothies to make them more of a healing smoothie but as I said, it was more of just drink only green smoothies for 35 days and you will heal. The recipes didn't sound that good to me and included more than a few ingredients..a few ingredients is best, because when you mix a lot of ingredients together it's harder to control the taste. And she, herself, even said that in the book.If you have never juiced nor made green smoothies, or you are maybe trying to convince a friend that they should incorporate green smoothies into their diet, then this would be a good book for you.

Gives you the tools for DIY green smoothies
I loved this book. It's just the nuts and blots and an easy read, It tells you how to "do it" yourself. Although it has several recipes, it's not a recipes book. Green Is 4 Life, gives you a basic blue print of what should be in your green smoothie everything you make one...that way you get to CHOOSE what you put into it.

Who Knew Green Smoothies Would Taste So Good??
Dr. Wendy Dearborne has created a simple guide to delicious green smoothies! I was super scared to test these recipes out...but to my surprise and delight...they were fantastic! This book has given me a way to eat healthy...live food AND enjoy it! I am thankful for this book...so is my body! Buy it...make it...eat it...live happy and healthy!

Love it. Humorous and real. Makes it so flexible and reasonable to try green smoothies! Gives you all the tools to start out, and then grow!

The book is like having a conversation with the author...the material is understandable as presented and motivational and supportive in tone. WELL DONE!

Great read & the nut milk recipes are AMAZING!!!
This book is terrific!! A small, simple read, to which a wealth of knowledge can be found. I loved the section about "choice-making" and especially how to make nut milks like coconut milk, almond milk etc. I definitely recommend this book if you're looking to get healthy, surpass allergies/illnesses, want to feel great and have an overall wellness.

BRILLIANT READ...... BRILLIANT EXPERIENCE.....!!!
Very informative and written in a way that is very easy to understand.I love Dr Dearborne's ethos of "Start where you are at"Which means incorporating smoothies into your diet in whatever way suits you best.I started with a smoothie for breakfast, before moving on to smoothies for breakfast and lunch.I felt SO energised. It was like I could feel my energy patterns changing from, heavy and slow, to a lighter and faster motion.My hair and skin are softer then I can ever remember them being before, and I feel much more focused and less stressed.I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND READING "GREEN IS 4 LIFE"
