Curl Empowering Crème Gel

The photos are what my hair did using this product after a day at work. I wash my hair, brush it out, put some serum in and then curl cream. My go to brand has vanished, I was gutted. Over the years I have tried many products, I don't like crispy hair so curl cream is my preference. This stuff smells lovely and my hair is really soft, with the curls staying tamed all day. It is a strange consistency, like jelly/blamange wobbly 😁 don't be put off cos it a really good product!

Wow finally! Has the hold of a gel but the softness of a cream! This is a pot of magic. No frizz, allows me to shape & style my curls & provides hold. Yet you can't even feel or see it in your hair. Refresh days are a breeze as this keeps the frizz at bay but also let's you restyle with water or more products & doesn't leave roots greasy! Doing CGM - Curly Girl Method, gels gave me a cast I couldn't scrunch out leaving my hair wet looking, frizzy & crusty. Creams dropped my curls leaving them limp. I was so close to giving up on CGM but this is the product I dreamed of!!

I tried this brand as it was marketed as curly girl friendly. I've nearly finished my first pot and I'm ordering a second one. It's a cream/gel and some reviews have commented on the appearance. So its best to note that is both a cream and gel. It doesn't look that nice when you open it. I tried to use it straight from the tub and got an okay application but it wasn't great. Then I found that if you sort of pat it and mix the surface with your finger pads it goes all white and creamy. That is much easier to use and work through my hair. I also found that you do not need very much at all. By the time I mixed it gently with just middle three fingers thats enough for my shoulder length curls. As a gel, if you use too much your curls will go crispy and you'll have to spend a long time scrunching the cast out the them. If I work a little of it through all wet hair and then curl sections with my fingers I get lovely natural curls that last all day and even through to the next day too. Other things to note are it can take a bit of practise to get to grips with this product. The quality of water in your local area will affect your curls and also this product - I took this with me to Portugal recently, and although it worked fine my hair felt much drier than it does at home. I have to say it was windy and this product held my hair as curls wonderfully and I didn't end up with a huge frizzy mess. I'm giving this 4 stars as I find that the scent of this product very strong. I don't know if this is from the botanicals in it or if it's other perfumes, however, for happy curls I can live with that.

The scent is great n goes into ur hair great but the next day leaves ur hair feeling dry hence the oil product. I will leave this product out yes it helps with curls but drys ur hair

I have tried a tone of different serums, creams and gels over the years but finally I have found a product that is perfect for my hair. I love the fact that it is a gel and a cream. It moisturises your hair while also defining curls without crunchiness and it smells divine. It's also a reasonable price which is even better! Definitely my new, best and favourite hair styling product. 100% recommend I shall certainly be buying again when my current one runs out.

I have recently started to try and revive my curls after years of using heat products to straighten it, I was looking for a product that would provide hold and also help to define Mt curls, I bought this hoping it would help but I didn't have high hopes. I was surprised because its actually really good I use this after I've washed my hair, my hair is half way down my back and I use 2 50p sized dollops to cover my whole head, it's smells lovely and is easy to distribute. I scrunch my hair and leave it to air dry although it does state on the packaging that blow drying gives more volume I've been very happy with the results. I'd recommend this product for anyone wanting to define their curls and have a light hold without using mousse or gel.

If you have curly hair this is a MUST try product!! I have been following the curly girl method for several years and have tried multiple products over that time, this is definitely one of my all favourites The consistency is a jelly like. It is easy to scoop up and spread across your hands to apply to your hair. It is easily absorbed A little goes a long way with this product. It nourishes my curls while providing a medium hold and doesn’t weigh them down I use this in conjunction with Imbue conditioning spray and serum (again you don’t need much)

After reading the reviews and seeing other buyer’s photos, I was so excited to try this. It fell so so short. The texture is gelatinous, and nowhere does it say how to use. So, for anyone wanting to know, you have to rub it between your hands to make it creamy. It’s really quite sticky, so doesn’t spread well either. From the get go, I hated it. Hated the texture it gave my hair, hated everything about it. But, as most curly girls can sympathise, you are always on the lookout for products that are better for curl definition etc. Not even halfway through day 1 and my curls went so frizzy I may as well not have used anything in my hair at all. Day two and I am honestly ashamed of my hair. Will absolutely not be using this again and will never ever recommend to a friend - or even a curly enemy!! Ladies and gents, steer clear.
