Now and Laters Banana flavor
I ate these as a kid growing up and had to get some and they are just as delicious as I remember them

Better than they used to be, sometimes
I've been eating these for over 60 years. They still taste about the same, and just as good. Ordering them from Amazon, I've found the freshness to be very variable. The first four times I got them,they were considerably more fresh and chewable than the hardened blocks we used to get at the corner candy store. The last box seemed much older, more dried out, and hardened. They taste the same no matter what but the less fresh, hard ones have a very different texture, and that really changes the eating experience. I definitely prefer the fresh ones, but ordering from Amazon seems to be something of a crapshoot in that respect. Banana is still my favorite flavor, but I like the grape and the blue raspberry (which is intense), too. And economically speaking, they're a decent deal, though not a spectacular one. Back when a bar of Now And Laters cost $0.05, the price of a New York City subway token rose to $0.20. Now a ride on the subway is $2.90 (a 14X increase) and a bar of banana Now and Laters is $0.50 (a 10X increase).

This is one of my favorite childhood candies. The size is great taste is delicious and when placed in the refrigerator the durability can be for weeks

When you're younger, fake banana taste different than when you're older
Taste better 30 years ago when I was younger. Now it doesn't really taste like banana. But I'm still eating them.
