Impressed
My dog was diagnosed with a large, severe cancerous mast cell tumor on his foot. Due to his advanced age surgery was not an option and would likely cost him his foot if he survived. Other treatments such as chemo and radiation, besides being insanely expensive, would have made him miserably ill and would likely have hastened his demise. A friend with training in alternative therapies recommended this oil along with clove and frankincense, which she claimed would shrink the tumor. I have always been quite skeptical of these products, but we decided to give them a try. When we started treatment the tumor protruded out of his nail bed by nearly an inch, and was quite painful to him. After only 3 weeks the tumor is less than a fourth of its original size and appears dried out, and is no longer causing him any pain. I'm stunned. The dog is still happy and bumbling along at 13 years old.

Underwhelmed.
Sandalwood is one of my top 3 favorite scents, and I am familiar with several brands of sandalwood essential oil. Like other products from Edens Garden, their Sandalwood oil was quite reasonably priced and so I was persuaded to take a chance on an order of Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang essential oils.Yes, I am fully aware that this is Australian, not Indian, sandalwood. I read the reviews and knew to expect a "lighter" scent than what I have been used to. But this EG sandalwood oil was not just lighter, not just "more flowery" as one reviewer put it; it was weak. There was a distinct lack of intensity overall, and the intensity of an essential oil is a big tip-off to its quality -- or lack therof.Seeing all the five-star reviews of this product, one has to wonder whether it was just that I received a bottle from an inferior batch, or whether -- and I hate to think it, but given the evidence, it's ineveitable -- there are a few schills for Eden's Garden posting reviews. It puts their entire product line under suspicion, and that is a shame...hopefully, EG's other essential oils are of better quality than this Sandalwood, but this limited experience dampens my enthusiasm to try their Sweet Almond oil, Jojoba Oil, Vetiver essential oil, and the like. I am debating whether or not to return this product, based on likely shipping charges versus the refund..

Worth it
Oil is clean! That is not sticky. I applied to my authentic Hawaiian Sandalwood with just few drops, the sweet aroma stays and stays. Great value

The only oils we use
My wife has been using Edens Gardens essential oils for years. Other manufactures cannot hold a candle to Edens Garden.

Australian Sandalwood
I misread the label - this is Australian Sandalwood - I am not used to the smell and do not really care for it. But this is personnel preference. I prefer East Indian Sandalwood which has a denser smell. This is light, sweet, and flowery. Seller identified it correctly and it is of excellent quality. It is just that I do not like Australian Sandalwood.

Pay attention to the Australian distinction.
India, the origin for the deep woody smelling "original" Sandalwood has all but halted export due to rapid deforestation. Edens Garden offers an East Indian Sandalwood, but I have yet to try it (I will though). Be careful of any supplier claiming to sell sandalwood from Mysore/India, as due to the diminished supply the oils they sell are often adulterated. Edens Garden oils, as a rule, are excellent. I like them better than Aura Cacia, and they are significantly more economical, since you're not paying for branding. This company deserves your business if you are into Aromatherapy, fragrance blending, soap making etc. you will not be disappointed.

An Inferior Version
Luckily, my first order for Australian Sandalwood oil was Nature's Kiss, because that was outstanding. I knew what a good sandalwood oil should smell like. I purchased this brand, Eden's Garden, because I was under the impression that all Sandalwood Oil had the same scent, if it was labeled pure, therapeutic, or 100%. I don't believe the quality of this item can be strictly controlled. I may be just one of the unlucky ones. I kind of felt the scent was either from a non-mature batch, a buyer's inexperience, or that, being a natural product it could just be the one peach in a basket of peaches, that had very little flavor. I will try to return it, or may even exchange it for another of the same. I think this company does wish to keep its customers. At the price, this is definitely a luxury purchase, so I believe that enough unhappy customers can really hurt their business.

Divine oil and company
Sandalwood has become endangered because we humans love the smell so much. Edens Garden is helping us keep the divine scent of sandalwood in our lives by sourcing from non-endangered Aussie sources. This smells amazing and works for meditation and skin care for me. This company knows how to take care of both its products and its customers.
