This is the way to DASH Diet!!!!
I got this book free on Kindle Unlimited and I liked it so much, I bought a paper copy. The book does a great job explaining the DASH diet in a quick and easy to read way. The recipes are delicious. I'm a somewhat picky eater and I was willing to try all of them. What I loved most about this book (and the reason I was willing to pay for a copy when I already had a free one) was that the recipes were simple, easy to follow and didn't call for a million weird ingredients that I won't be able to find, or would use once and then they sit in my pantry and go bad on me. This is a diet/ cookbook that is actually useful and applicable to my life. So get this book and get DASHing!

Delicious recipes, easy to follow
This is a great recipe book! Iโve made a few dishes so far and they all turn out perfect and taste amazing. Iโm not a cook by any means and the recipes are easy to follow and use ingredients that are usually in your cupboard or fridge. I love that the recipes tell you how to store leftovers and what goes good with it. I bought after finding out I have extremely high blood pressure.

Low sodium
Doctor said to lower my sodium intake. I purchased this cookbook to help regulate the amount of salt in a recipe. So far we are surprised at how easy the recipes are.

Prep schedule too repetitive
Many of the recipes look good but the prep weeks have little variety. Breakfast is the same Monday through Friday. Snacks same Monday through Friday and lunch and dinner are just eating the same 3 meals mix and matched so basically each week you are making 4 different meals and eating 3 of them each day over and over. It is a pretty lazy schedule for the author to capitalize on. Wish she would have put just a little effort into the prep schedule, it is why I thought this would be good. Oh well some new recipes for me to work through so not a total loss.

Excellent, easy and tasty
I cook all my meals and thought exploring the DASH diet would be a good place to start the new year.This meal prep and shopping lists kept me on track and have really economized my grocery shopping. The recipes are very tasty. I like that they use fresh herbs and have us prep them for the week. I spent about 3 hours cooking, prepping and storing my food for the week. Itโs all in the refrigerator, I just pull out my meal, itโs ready to go. No more staring inside the refrigerator, wondering what Iโll eat. I absolutely love this book. Did I mention, I only had to clean the kitchen once. That is a game changer

A few cooking skills will save you time.
Iโm in my third week of meal prep. Iโm enjoying the recipe recipes. Iโm spending a lot more time in the kitchen. but before I was eating a lot of frozen dinners and takeout. I would say that having a good sized food processor would be a good idea. Mine is a little small, but Iโm seeing if Iโm going to stick with this before I buy a larger one. I also find that if I do my shopping for the next week and start preparing meals towards the end of the week, I can just finish things up on a Saturday or Sunday and be ready for Monday morning. I canโt argue with the results. Iโve lost weight and my blood pressure is under control.

Bad advice and Lazy writing
In the first few pages you are presented with straight up wrong advice on how to manage your diet, foods proven to lower blood pressure are listed as high risk. Just completely incorrect. The "Meal Plan" section consists of them listing the same recipe 5 times and calling it a week. I'm not kidding, that is done over and over again in this book. Some nice sounding recipes for sure, but I bought this to make meal plans. and it completely fails at that.
